{I've never done this but the header for this chapter was FAN ART I received from a lovely Wattpad user who recently saw my Four Figures book!!! Just how I imagined him!}
(This chapter is a little risqué for a moment! Warning!)
It was a rainy and murky day at Hogwarts. The trees sagged with water and the birds took cover under bushes. Mud replaced the green grass and flooded the hills. The Quidditch field was unusable and every student had stayed inside.
Salazar Slytherin slid his cloak hood up and Disapparated from his room. Landing in the forest with a loud crack, he stumbled a bit. He ended up next to the large platform where lines of carriages sat, being poured on. It thundered as his brown hair started to flatten form the rain. What he didnt see or know was the multiple Thestrals happily grazing near him. He looked around before marching off into the rainy day. Salazar walked down hills and cobblestone stairs, stepping in mud everywhere. Sliding on his feet down a small hill, he landed on a street, decorated with quaint buildings of every size, shape and colors. Most of them were abandoned and empty, seeming lonely. Salazar began walking, passing the buildings and acting oddly suspicious.
He walked farther down the wide street, passing a gargantuan white building. It's architecture delicate and complex. He turned right down a rather small alley and found the place he was looking for. Standing in front of a red door that was almost falling apart, he rose a hand to knock, but someone appeared before he did.
A man as tall as Salazar, stood behind the door, his shocking green eyes piercing into Salazars. The mans black hair was shaggy and beat down from the weather. His robes were pitch black, as if he was in hiding.
"She's in there" he said in a menacing tone. Salazar nodded, opened the door and walked inside.
The shop was narrow but with a rather high ceiling. It's wooden floors precise and clean, it's Walls lined with marble shelves with oddities and bottles of potion here and there. A front desk was placed in the far back, in front of a deep red door. A chandelier hung from the ceiling, giving a dim glow. Salazar walked to the desk and walked behind it, opening the red door. It reveled a quite narrow and spiral concrete staircase. He started to walk up it.
Compact and seeming as if it took decades, Salazar reached the top and opened a frail wooden door. He knocked, and without hesitation, the locks had magically unlocked themselves. The door swung open rather harshly.
As if it was a library, the walls to Salazars left and right were stacked with shelves of books while two arm chairs sat in the middle of the room in front of a table. A couch had sat along side the shelves. The wall all the way at the of the room was glass, looking out into the alley. A small fire that was floating above the table was barely giving off any glow or heat. One arm chair was turned, facing away from him, occupied by a rather pretty woman.
"I've heard stories about you" She smiled mischievously. She rose her wand and the door behind Salazar slammed shut, forcing him to jump forward.
"About me?" He asked, walking forward. "Show yourself" he demanded.
The woman stood up, as she was dressed in tight black pants with a rather dark gray blouse and a long, deep purple coat. As she still faced the windows, Salazar squinted.
"I didn't expect you to be-"
"Black?" She replied for him as she turned around. Salazar had gotten frightened to even look at her. "Or a woman?" She asked.
"So resemblance like to my - my-" he spoke, trying to not show fear. The woman smiled.
"Mother? Friend? Aunt?" She asked. Salazar changed the subject.
"What's wrong with your eye?" He asked, the room still dim.
"Have a seat" she held a hand out to the chair across from hers. He reluctantly took a seat and she turned her chair around and faced him. She sat down and crossed her legs, folding her hands.
"It was a spell accident as a child. I was in a fit of rage and tried to kill my friend. Knowing only one hurting spell, I casted bombarda, as it had bounced off a mirror and exploded right into the right of my face, tearing my eye off and don't forget my ear" she all said with a smile. "Lumos" she said as she held her wand to her eyes. Salazars eyes widened.
It illuminated her skin, but it was a scar.
A scar that had looked veiny, crawling across the bridge of her nose and down her cheek. Her eye was replaced with a large chunk of pink scar tissue.
"So. Salazar. The famous Salazar Slytherin" She said happily.
"What's your name?" He asked. Her smile faded with an annoyed look.
"Marian. Marian Tirus. Now I'm not here for introductions. Mr. Moys had said you needed to speak to me." Marian said. Her short curly dark brown hair being dimly lit by the fire.
"I need another one" Salazar said, leaning back, his hand raising up to his lip as he stared at the stacks of books. Marian raised an eyebrow.
"Another one?" She questioned. Salazars eyes flicked to her direction, locking contact with her golden brown eyes.
"This one isn't good. She can't listen. She's charmed with my stupid locket. She hasn't Petrified anyone yet either. It's a waste" Salazar said. Marian laughed.
"My Basilisks are not a waste, Mr Slytherin. And she won't work if she knows her owner is scared. Let's face it. You act big and bad when you're really afraid and want someone to love you. You're alone, Salazar" she snapped. She had pushed Salazars buttons instantly. Salazar had an evil glare in his eyes and leaned forward.
"Listen, marian. You're a manipulative hag. I came here for a deal. I want your other Basilisk egg" He said lowly with threat. Marian smirked.
"What do you want with her? I need a good and reasonable answer" she asked. Salazar inhaled as the rain began to come down harder. He leaned back into his chair.
"They stole my journal. I set a curse on it immediately once I found out but it harmed a student instead. So now they know I wanted to leave the Basilisk there before I fled. I'm going to get this one out of my chamber, and let them know it's gone. Then when I really leave, I'll leave the new one, making its locked away until my heir opens it, unleashing absolute hell on Hogwarts and purging it of its filthy mudbloods and possibly halfbloods." Salazar said without hesitation. Marian lifted her head upwards in approval. She let out a soft laugh mixed with a sigh.
"You do have that villainous spark in you." Marian said, staring straight at him. "I'll give it to you. For a price." She got quite serious. Salazar raised an eyebrow. His elbows perched on the arms of the chairs, he folded his hands.
"Price?" He asked. Her eye had turned to a slit and glared menacingly at him.
"My son" she said. Was she going to cry? Salazar though. Her voice had grown shaky and weak.
"He is my everything. I want him out of Hogwarts and learning with me and at home. I was furious when I got that damn letter from you and your stupid friends" she spat with hatred. Salazar shifted with uncertainty. Marian noticed.
"Oh so they are your friends? If you can't get my son I want something else" a grin spread across her face. "Get your friends to turn on each other and raid the school. You can come back here and teach pure bloods yourself" she spoke softly near the end. Salazar was hesitant.
"I can't do that. I-"
Marian mocked him. "You love your friends? You can't do it?" She said with a pouty lip. Marian got up slowly, walking to Salazars chair.
"Oh I see. You love one of them. Can I take a guess? Is it the blonde girl?" She said quietly, leaning down to Salazars face. "We all want to be loved Salazar. Pity you can't find it" she laughed. Marian put her hands on Salazars arm chair, confining him.
"Or is it the black girl, who is ever so smart" Marian pulled her wand out and put it softly against Salazars cheek. "Either lose a precious Pure blood from your House, or take Hogwarts for yourself. Your choice" She manipulated. A voice in the back of Salazars head told him to stay truthful to his friends and that he needed to turn to them for acceptance and love.
But he blocked it out.
A sly grin crept across his face.
"Hogwarts it is then" Marian whispered. Salazar turned away and inhaled as she was getting closer.
"I came for a deal. Not seducing." He stated. Marian laughed.
"So I heard about that Order of Heriot group who tried to take you guys down. Pathetic really." Marian said, even quieter. Salazar faced her, and stared at her one eye and scar for a minute, before looking down at her lips. Marian had gotten the notion.
Marian had kissed Salazar, he breathed in, holding her face, before pulling her away.
"Couldn't resist. You are handsome and I love evil professors who unleash giant serpents" Marian said. Salazar had become tempted by the witch once more and locked lips with her once more, getting up from his chair. Pushing her to the couch, she fell backwards onto it, Salazar standing over her. He knew it was his chance to interrogate her. Ignoring the voices in his head, he pulled his wand out and jabbed it in her neck, but she only gave out a laugh.
"You're going to make a fool out of yourself" She said. Salazar tilted his head. "Oh I know. Why don't I come visit Hogwarts sometime?" she said mischievously. Salazar got up immediately, furious.
"I knew this was a bad idea. You're a manipulative hag! The deal is done. No more! I should have never came to you in the first place" He stated before turning and heading for the door. Marian got up and pointed her wand at the door, locking it. Salazar spun around, his nostrils flaring in anger.
"It was a mistake. Do you do that to all your male wizards who come and see you to make a deal? Get inside their head? We made a deal and that is all." He spat. Salazar pointed his wand at the door, unlocking it.
"Make sure you save some Pure bloods for me" she called out after him but Salazar had left.
He pushed the door open and stormed out of the store. Raising his hood and Disapparating, the man who was originally at the door checked to see if he was gone. He ran upstairs to see Marian who was igniting the fire to a bright orange glow. Not looking up, she spoke to the man.
"Zachariah, is he gone?" Marian asked.
"Yes. Did you get what you needed?" Zachariah asked. Marian smiled as the flicker of the fire illumined her face.
"Absolutely" she said. And In that second, her eyes had flashed a dark red.
