Monolithos Malfoy had fallen asleep at the table in his Common Room. Algar poked him multiple times before giving up, taking the news clippings back and going to bed. Since it was usually dark in the Slytherin Common Room, Lithos woke up not knowing what time it was. He got up and noticed his papers were missing, becoming panicky. He groggily got up and went straight to his dormitory but collided with a friend.
"Watch it, Malfoy" Poveglia Patson laughed as she was hit by Lithos. "Woah, you look terrible" she said, turning around and looking at him.
"Feel terrible" he mumbled. Poveglia shrugged and pulled her wand out. Grabbing her deep brown hair in a bun on the top of her head, she tapped her wand at her hair, as it stayed in one piece. Lithos raised an eyebrow.
"Linking charm" she smiled slyly. "Come on then, you'll miss breakfast" Poveglia said, climbing out of the Common Room. Lithos tried to call after her, but she was gone. Sighing, he shuffled to his dormitory and found his news clippings stashed safely under his pillow.
At the very front of the Great Hall, no professor spoke. They all had silently agreed to be on no-speaking terms. As if nobody existed, they all ate in silence. The students chattered happily as the clanks and clatters of plates, forks and cups filled the air. The only thing that made everyone avoid awkward tension was the decorations for the mid-term ball. Students were laughing in groups between classes, pointing out other students to ask to the ball. Few students had been left crying in there Common Rooms because someone had rejected them. The tension was positive and sky rocketing every time another decoration was added.
Helga sighed and dropped her fork on her plate, causing her friends to turn their heads.
"I'm tired of this" she said. Rowena laughed.
"Me too" Rowena added. "I'm sorry. I can't say that my students are dull witted or stupid. Ravenclaw especially." She confessed. "I was in a fit of anger and disappointment".
Helga smiled and looked at Godric and James. James raised both of his eyebrows. "Oh don't force me to apologize I haven't done anything mental except give you lot the truth" he said.
"Fine alright. I just don't want to yell at anyone while this fantastic ball is going on" Godric joked with a smile, and soon it spread to everyone else. He put an arm around Rowena but James had stared with a feeble smile.
A Hufflepuff girl who was spreading jam onto her toast dropped it immediately, clattering it on her plate. She looked up with fear and began to panic. Her friend sitting across from her had taken caution.
"Woah Thera are you alright?" He asked.
"You don't hear that?!" Thera asked, worried. She furrowed her brow and held her head. It sounded like whispering mixed with hissing. "It's like it's coming from the walls" Thera said. The talking stopped and she relaxed, still worried.

In the chamber below all of Hogwarts, Salazar sat on the floor in front of his sculpture, his head upturned and his eyes white with no iris' or pupils. He hunched back down, his eyes returning to normal as he began to get angry.
"A Hufflepuff. How is that possible?" He questioned. Salazar, who was now choleric, got up and yanked his locket out of his pocket. Looking into the darkness and nothingness in front of him, he raised his locket.
"Come back. I need your help" He spoke into the dark.

Up above the levels in Hogwarts, Thera had been comforted by her friend, Cairo, since she had been spooked.
At the same time Thera had her fit, multiple Slytherin students had either dropped their food and drinks and covered their ears, hearing the ominous whispers in the walls. Only one Ravenclaw had slapped a hand to their forehead, almost convincing themselves they'd gone mad.
In the front table, Helga had noticed. She tapped Rowena and Godric, pointing.
"What's going on?" She said, nodding towards the frightened looking students. Godric's brow furrowed and it had hit him, his face going into a realization expression.
"Parseltounge" He said stiffly. Once he said it, James laughed.
"You're joking. Parseltounge?" James asked. "Hasn't that language been dead for centuries?"
Godrics attention was still honed in on the now scared students.
"I know Parseltounge when I see it. They can hear it. I know it." Godric said.
"Are you assuming Salazar is behind it?" Helga asked.
"Precisely" he assured them.

Monolithos Malfoy slid in at the Slytherin table, squeezing himself between his friends and across from Poveglia.
"About time. You haven't sat with us for a while. Welcome back" Poveglia joked, downing her pumpkin juice.
"Oi, you lot, have you seen this?" A Slytherin boy who sat next to Poveglia said.
"Seen what?" Lithos asked. The boy nodded to students around them.
"Couple of kids just went into a fit like they just saw the devil or somethin' " the boy said. "Apologizes. I'm Adney. Adney Tirus."
Lithos smiled kindly and looked about. A few students seemed on the edge about something. He leaned in closer to Adney and Poveglia.
"Alright. I need your help". Poveglia furrowed her brow and put her cup of pumpkin juice down.
"Yeah, what?" She asked.
"Were going to expose Professor S and get him kicked out. He's crazy! First, we have to get as much information we can, and evidence-"
"Absolutely not" Adney cut Lithos off. "Just because he has been absent and angry does not give us the right to literally get our Professor fired! You're crazy!"
In that second, Lithos decided Adney wasn't a good fit for his plan, but Adney continued.
"I know Professor S can be harsh, but all he wants to do is good in the wizarding world. Maybe he became so bitter is because that lot up there never gave him the chance. yes, Slyhterins may be mean at times but our traits are ambition and determination. Not evil and menacing" Adney stated with passion. Poveglia added in.
"Adneys right. But what if he really is planning something? You heard the man. He only wanted pure bloods in this House. Dont you think thats odd?"
Algar and Lithos nodded but Adney shook his head. "You lot are crazy. Ill be doing my Charms practice while you guys get expelled".

Godric had noticed the uneasy students, staying alert.
"Calm down. It was the Basilisk, but she wont be harming any student soon." Helga said. "If she does, Ill kill her myself." She said sharply. Godric let out a hearty laugh. Running a hand through his black hair, he sighed. "You know its bad when a Hufflepuff gets violent, a Gryffindor gets quiet, a Slytherin cries and when a Ravenclaw doesn't want to talk"
