Avery

When Jc and I got home, Kian was waiting on the couch. He looked like an angry father who was mad at his kids for missing their curfew. "You're in trouble." Jc mumbled as he moved closer to me as if it was to protect me. "Oh daddy! Are we in trouble?" Jc shouted in a girly voice as he threw himself at Kian. I couldn't help but laugh and Kian couldn't hold back the laughter either.

"Stop!" He pushed Jc into the floor as Jc groaned in pain. "I'm sorry dude." He helped him up off the floor before he returned to his original position. "Why did you punch Meredith in the face?" He asked me as he crossed his arms.

Jc and I busted out into a fit of laughter. "Did she tell on me? Did I ruin her nose job or something?" Jc couldn't stop laughing, but Kian kept a stone cold face. "Yeah, I hit her. She made fun of the way I looked. I do believe she made the comment, "I mean, can you afford new clothes?" Then I punched her in the face and asked her if she could afford a new nose job. " I laughed as I relived the moment in my head. "It was actually pretty funny." Kian even laughed before returning to his pissed face.

"It's not funny." He was trying not to smile but he couldn't help it. "You got her good." He laughed. "Look." He showed me a picture of her nose. It was busted and bruised.

"Dang." Jc high fived me again. "You should've seen it in person it was impressive." Jc said to Kian.

"Just please try to refrain from hitting my girlfriend again." Kian asked in the nicest way possible. "Please." I nodded. "Promise me."

"I will rock her world again if she ever makes fun of me again. " he nodded. "I'm sorry but I can't. " he nodded again with a small frown on his lips. "I'm not letting anyone walk all over me." he nodded in understanding.

"Let's watch a movie, Avery." Jc suggested as he smacked my arm. He broke the tension in the room.

"I'm going to bed." Kian scoffed as he stormed off upstairs.

"You made him mad." Jc laughed as he turned on a movie. "He will get over it, don't worry about it." I nodded as my heart sank.

I'm sorry Kian.

I woke up on the couch. The house was silent except for the humming of the air conditioner. I had a blanket wrapped around me that I don't remember falling asleep with. Kian trotted down the stairs with an unusual frown plastered across his face. "What's wrong Ki?" I asked as I stretched my body out across the couch.

"Meredith. " he sighed as his eyes fell.

"Do I need to bust her nose again?" He half laughed as he plopped down beside me. I laid my head down in his lap like I always do, but he pushed me away. "Did I do something?" I asked and he stayed silent.

"I don't wanna talk about it." He scooted further away from me.

"Kian, tell me." I said as I pulled myself up off the couch. I wrapped the blanket around my cold body. "What did I do?" He shrugged again as his face went blank. "Kian?" He stayed silent as he ignored me. "Okay." I scoffed as I pulled myself off the couch.

I locked myself in my room, I wasn't okay. I was trying so hard to figure out what I did wrong or what could've happened. I ran my fingers through my hair as I paced my room. "Avery? Do you wanna come out to eat with us?" I heard Fran's voice fill the room. "We've not seen you a lot today, are you okay?" I didn't know how to respond.

"I don't think I am Fran." I said softly.

"Let me in." She begged as she placed herself up against the door. "Please." She lowered her voice.

"I can't Fran. I need to be alone right now." I didn't want her knowing I was upset about Kian.

"Please honey. " I slowly opened my door. "Thank you." She pulled herself inside the room, gently closing the door. "What's going on?" She placed herself on my bed.

"Has Kian been acting weird to you?" She looked confused. "Like acting different towards you?" She nodded.

"He has been weird all day today. I seen him with you this morning and it was weird. I tried talking to him earlier and he blew me off. " she thought deeply. "I've only seen him talking to the boys today. Maybe he is back in kindergarten and all girls have cooties. " I half laughed. "Don't stress darling. He will get over himself. " I nodded.

"I don't know Fran." She hugged me tightly. Her hugs were amazing, they were so comforting and warm.

"Come out to eat with us. It will be fun. Maybe we can make you smile." She poked my sides trying her best to make me smile, but I just couldn't.

"I really don't feel good Fran, or I would. Thank you for the offer though." I half smiled at her as she frowned.

"I'll bring you food on the way home. " I smiled and nodded as she pulled herself off my bed. "I love you." She smiled softly.

"I love you too Fran." She left my room as I pulled myself under the blankets. I had no clue what was going on with Kian, but I decided to blow it off. I wasn't going to stress my self out over it, I was gonna listen to Fran. Kian was probably just in a mood and it was probably nothing.

I rolled over to my side as looked out my window. It was beautiful outside. I laid there and contemplated on what I should do. "I'm gonna swim." I got up and slipped into my bikini. I walked out of my room expecting to be home alone, but Kian was still home. He was walking upstairs from the pool. His eyes covered my body before I pushed pass him. I didn't pay him attention and that hurt more than anything.
