••• Ji Su's Point of View •••
The ominously silent inanimate room sent cold shivers down my spine. A still hospital was never a good sign. The once bustling emergency room now stood still and vacant, only the muted gossips of the nurses could be heard ringing throughout the hallways.
Little did I know that this was merely the calm before the storm.
It would be the last day of peace, before my life changed ... forever ...

Today started off quite out of the usual. The entire day has been a slow, worryingly tranquil day at the hospital, leading me to believe that something eventful was bound to happen before my shift came to a close. Today is Friday. It was my day off today, but instead I am here pacing the empty ward watching the clock, waiting for my monotonous day to come to an end.
Mina is my best friend, whom I treasure like a sister. Today we had arranged to both have a day off, so we could attend our first concert here together. We are both huge BTS fans and Mina finally managed to snag tickets to their last concert today. Mina is lazy, but oddly savage at first sight like her bias Yoongi. I, on the other hand, am more of a caring and dependable person like Jin, my bias. We were hoping to finally get to see them in person, but sadly my parents had to rain on my parade. My parents dumped the responsibility of the hospital on me today, holding me accountable for running the hospital today in their absence. My parents are out of town at some conference, which meant that I was left to watch over the hospital with the help of my dad's secretary/right hand. Which ultimately meant that I was not allowed to attend the BTS concert today! Yay me!
Mina, on the other hand, was able to leave bright and early today by herself to attend the concert without me. At least my best friend gets to finally see the boys in concert. It wasn't meant to be for me. My greatest consolation prize, however, is that I will get to see the photos and videos she takes.
This was my first and last chance this year to get to meet my idols, and sadly work got in the way of me seeing them.
Growing up my parents played out the typical strict parents' role. They were really authoritarian parents who deprived me from interacting with the world around me, and had me home schooled. I was a very lonely creature and utterly miserable growing up. I had no one to talk to, no one to have fun with, no one to enjoy the fruits of life with. I managed to graduate high school at the young age of 15, and am now a 22-year-old doctor who missed out on having fun, and basically living. My entire life consisted of studying, and volunteering predominantly until about 3 years ago.
About three years ago, I discovered BTS through Mina. Mina knew how shielded I was from the outside world, so she decided she would play some music for me to lighten my mood and bring some fun into my life. It was love at first sight or should I say listen. Listening to them gives me a much-needed break from my amazing but draining work and my demanding parents. They are my escape from responsibility and boringness. They came out of nowhere and lit up my life into something beautiful and meaningful. They are beautiful, funny, caring, loving, smart, talented ... perfect ...
