DAWN'S POV
**ONE MONTH LATER**
Jimmy was living in my house and I was teaching him the stuff I know. So far, he's pretty good. Better than I expected. Today, I have a job to do. My first one in a month. "Please let me work with you Dawn." Jimmy begged.
"I told you I only work alone." He looked at me, pouting and giving me puppy dog eyes. "Ugh, fine. You can come with me, but don't fuck up. This'll be your first job and if you fuck it up, you'll never work again." He nodded slowly. I can't stay mad at him. Don't tell no one, but I guess I, kind of, sort of, have a tiny crush on him. "Let's get ready." I walked into my dad's office and Jimmy followed. I walked to a locked room at the back. I unlocked it and looked at Jimmy. "Only my dad and I have keys to this room and it's always locked."
"Why?" he asked, a little concerned.
"You'll see." I opened the door slowly. It was stocked full of guns and weapons. Every weapon you could imagine, I had in this little room. I walked in and Jimmy followed me, looking around, kind of nervous.
"I now see why this door is locked all the time." I laughed slightly.
"Yeah." I responded and looked around, searching for the right weapons for this job. I bit my lip, still looking. "This should do." I said, pulling out a simple pocket knife. Jimmy looked at me like I'm crazy.
"I'm gonna need more than a fucking knife to do this." I nodded.
"I figured so I am also taking this." I pulled out a small handgun, handing it to him.
"Where do I put it?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Tighten your belt and put it in the waistband of your pants, under your shirt." he nodded and did so. I nodded and put the knife in my pocket. "Let's go and I'll explain the plan on the way there." we left the room and I locked it, walking out of my dad's office, also locking that door too. We walked downstairs and out of the house, getting into my car. I started it and slowly backed out of the driveway. I sped down the street. "So, because you're new at this, you'll be starting at a distant. But, I'll be closer because I'm experienced and I know exactly what to do. So you're going to be in hiding, outside the building while I go in and first threaten him. And that's when you shoot him from afar." he nodded and bit his lip. I pulled into the parking lot of the guy's building and turned to look at Jimmy. I got out of the car and made sure I had everything with me. I'm really nervous, only because it's Jimmy's first time. I looked at him when he got out of the car. "You ready?"
"Kind of nervous, but I'll be okay." I nodded and walked over to the side of the building where his office was. I looked at Jimmy.
"You can climb a tree, right?" he nodded. "Good, start climbing. Climb until you think you can get a clear shot into his window." he nodded again and started climbing the tree. "When I call this phone, don't answer, just shoot." Don't get caught." I stated clearly and handed him the phone from the car. He couldn't call on it, but it would still ring. I walked in the building and stood outside his office. I called my friend who was to turn off the power to the building. Within seconds, the power was out. I crawled into his office and I heard snoring, so I'm assuming he's sleeping. I went behind his chair, spinning him around to face the window. He woke up in a panic. I pulled out the knife and held it to his throat.
"W-What do you want?" he stuttered out, sweating. I handed him his office phone and held out a piece of paper with a number on it.
"Call this number." I whispered. He shakily dialled the number and let it ring. I backed up away from the window slowly. Next thing I knew, a shot was fired through the window. Bingo! I grinned and climbed out the window, going to the tree that Jimmy was in. "Jimmy, come down! We need to go!" He jumped down and we ran to my car. I quickly sped off the property. Jimmy looked at me.
"How did I do?" he asked. I grinned.
"Great!" he nodded and smiled.
"Let's celebrate the fact that it was my first job!" I nodded.
"Good idea." I smiled and sped to my house. "We need to drink at my house." he gave me a weird look.
"Why?" he asked. I laughed.
"Because we're underage, ya bean." he nodded.
"Oh, that's right." he shrugged. "Won't your dad be mad that we're drinking?" I snorted.
"Jimmy, I'm Italian, I was drinking wine in my baby bottle."
"I forgot you were Italian. Is that why you always smell like pasta?" he was laughing. I swerved so he'd hit his head on the window. I laughed and pulled into my driveway. I shut my car off, getting out and walking into my house. My dad was sitting there, reading the newspaper.
"Hi daddy." I kissed his cheek.
"Your grandmother is coming later today, will you please pick her up from the airport?" I pouted. My grandmother lives in Italy.
"Daddy, why can't one of your men do it? I have plans with Jimmy." he nodded.
"Yes, but that means you will be driving her to the airport when she leaves. Got it?" I nodded.
"Yes daddy." I smiled and went to the basement. I shut the door and I put on a record when we got down there. Elvis, because who does't love the king? I went behind the bar and started pouring two drinks. And by 'bar', I mean it a table with a mini fridge and some alcohol behind it. I handed him one and held out mine. "To Jimmy's first job!" we clinked glasses and downed the shots.
