DAWN'S POV
"I now pronounce you man and wife." The Reverend said. I kissed Jimmy on the lips. I'm married. I can't believe it. Everyone cheered and clapped as we walked down the isle to outside.
*RECEPTION*
You ever been to an Italian wedding? It's a lot of food and wine. I was currently sitting at the table with my friends and I was on my eighth glass of wine. I decided to go find Jimmy. I got up and stumbled my way through the crowd to Jimmy. In what felt like forever, I reached Jimmy. "Ciao piccola." (Hi baby.)
"Okay, you're drunk. Hi baby." he wrapped his arms around me.
"Non sono ubriaco, sei ubriaco." (I'm not drunk, you're drunk.)
"Then how come you're speaking Italian?" For some reason, his question made me laugh. I stumbled a bit when I laughed. Jimmy shook his head. "And, you didn't eat much either, so that doesn't help." I kept laughing.
"Dov'e mio padre?" (Where is my father?) I asked. I couldn't find someone in this place even if I was sober. There was so many people. I let go of Jimmy and began my adventure through the maze of humans to find my father. I was so short and lost in this mob. I couldn't see a thing. Next thing I knew, there was a gunshot. Everyone panicked and started screaming. I looked around as best as I could. I was instantly sober. I ran over to where the gunshot came from. There laid my father on the ground. He was shot in the head. I dropped to my knees and starting crying. I don't think I've ever cried this much in my life. I heard another gunshot. I didn't care. I held my father's bloody body and cried. A second later, Jimmy was at my side.
"I got the killer. He's dead. The police are on their way." He pulled me away from my father's body and held his sobbing new wife in his arms.

I sat on the stoop of the my house, smoking a cigarette, in my wedding dress. I was still crying. Jimmy came out and sat next to me. "The police have identified the killer. His name was George Crosby. Do you know him?"
"Yeah. I shot his father not that long ago." I sniffled and lit another cigarette before throwing my other butt away. Jimmy wrapped his arm around my shoulder and I rested my head on his. "What a hell of a wedding gift." I laughed. I know it isn't funny but I that's how I cope with this shit.
"It'll be okay. But, would that make you the Don?"
"Don Dawn. I'll be the first female Don of this family."
"There ya go, Bean." he kissed my head. He's gotten into calling me Bean for some reason. "Let's go to bed." I threw my cigarette away and stood up, following Jimmy inside. We walked upstairs and I sat on my bed. "Do you want some help, baby?" Jimmy asked.
"Yes, please." I stood up and turned around so he could undo the ties. I slowly lowered my dress to the ground and turned around to face him.
"I love you."
"I love you too." I smiled softly. Jimmy then, gently, placed his lips against mine. I smiled bigger as we parted. I threw on a shirt of his and laid in bed. "Goodnight baby." I cuddled into him.
"Goodnight." he kissed my forehead and wrapped his arms tightly around me.

The next morning I woke up and the reality had hit me. My father was dead and I was now head of the family. I got out of bed and went into the bathroom, brushing my teeth. I left the bathroom and went downstairs to find Jimmy sitting on the couch, watching the TV. "Morning." Jimmy said. I looked at him.
"Coffee." I walked to the kitchen. I grabbed a cup and walked into the living room. I sat next to Jimmy on the couch. "Hi." I said, sipping my coffee.
"How are you today?" he asked.
"I'm alright. Just trying to let it sink in without crying. He was my best friend." I took a deep breath.
"I know baby." he sighed. "Would you like something to eat?"
"No, I want to go back to bed." I placed my cup on the table and laid my head in Jimmy's lap. He started to play with my hair and I soon fell asleep.
