JIMMY'S POV

We were back in New York now and I was laying with Dawn on the couch. We were watching Gone With the Wind. I hate this movie but Dawn loves it. Her dad walked in and saw us laying there and I for sure thought he was going to kill me, but all he said was, "What are you watching?"

"Gone With the Wind." Dawn answered and I nodded, taking my hands off her body. He nodded and walked out, going up the stairs. I'm assuming to his office, because three other men followed him. I looked at Dawn, who was still watching the movie. This movie is so boring it makes me want to kill myself. Okay, not really. We finished the movie and by the end, I was almost asleep. I don't understand why she likes this movie so much. Whatever, it's over and done with. We were laying in her bed and she looked at me. "Jimmy, how much do ya like me?" I smiled at her cuteness.

"A whole lot." she giggled. It was adorable.

"Okay, jus' checkin'." she smiled and closed her eyes.

"You're mine, saavy?" She giggled again and nodded.

"Yes, sir." I grinned and we laid there until we fell asleep.  I woke up a bit later and looked down at a sleeping Dawn. She is so cute. I was laying there when I heard a noise come from the kitchen, it sounded like something glass was shattered. I slowly got up and grabbed the hand gun out of the side table. I very quietly walked to the kitchen and peeked in the doorway, making sure the gun was ready to fire if need be. I kicked open the door and pointed the gun at the person. It was Dawn's older brother, Michael. I sighed in relief and put the gun down.

"What are you doing coming in the window?" I asked. "You don't do that in this house, you could have seriously been hurt." He was stuffing his face full of food.

"I'm sorry, who are you?" he asked.

"I'm Dawn's boyfriend and I work for your father." I said, leaning against the doorway. "Dawn tells me you want nothing to do with your father's business." He shrugged.

"Nah, not my type of work. I work for a different person, though." He said, with his mouth full. A couple seconds later, Dawn came in the kitchen and stopped, looking at her brother.

"Mike, what are you doing here? You know dad doesn't want you around this house or family." I was confused.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because Mikey's a traitor. He's working for another family here in New York." I simply nodded.

"Because Dad doesn't want me in his business." he defended himself.

"That explains why you came through the window, you don't have a key." I said, looking at him. "But, if you're not wanted here, you better leave." I warned.

"Oh yeah? Are you gonna make me?" he said, looking at me.

"I literally almost shot you once, I'm not afraid to actually shoot you." I said.

"You wouldn't, my father would come after you, despite the circumstances." He said, smugly.

"Yeah, but Dad won't come after me, finocchio." Dawn spat at her brother. "Get out, Michael before I call Dad or kill you." She grabbed my gun and pointed it at him. "Out." She was angry, I could tell. She was about to pull the trigger when I watched Michael whip something our direction. I got in front of Dawn as quick as possible because I wasn't sure what it was. Next thing I knew, I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I looked down and saw a knife handle sticking out of me.

"This was a white shirt!" Dawn yelled and shot him. Holy shit, I just got stabbed and Dawn just shot her own brother.
