B E L L A M Y lays awake next to you. It had taken you a few hours to eventually fall asleep. The thoughts about what tomorrow would bring for the two of you keeping you up. They kept him up as well.

You slept in his arms, the way you always did. He had started coming into your room at night not long after your parents deaths. He didn't want to leave you alone, not even for one second. And the nights were always the worst for you.

You cried yourself to sleep for weeks after you were made aware of their deaths. He would hold on to your tightly as you sobbed. Tears would roll down his cheeks no matter how hard he tried to hold them back. He hated to see you in any kind of pain, and he hated not being able to do anything about it. But his presence alone helped to ease and soothe your pain. If it wasn't for Bellamy you don't know how you would've gotten through any of that. And Bellamy knew that if it wasn't for you, he wouldn't have been able to get through any of this.

He looked over at you and smiled as he gently ran his fingers through your hair. He thought back to that night. The night he first kissed you.

You sat next to the large window that gave the two of you a beautiful view of the wonders that surrounded you up in space.

Throughout the night Bellamy would subtly move closer to you. He thought you didn't notice, but you did. You noticed everything about him. You knew him better than he thought you did. And you had to admit he knew you very, very well.

This was your favorite thing to do. Sit next to Bellamy as you looked out into the open. You leaned your head on his shoulder, and he smiled as he felt your warmth.

"We've know each other a long time, [y/n]." Bellamy began. "Have you ever thought about that?"

You smiled. "I have. And yeah, we've known each other for a long time. So long that you are always present in pretty much all of my memories."

"You're in mine, too." he said as he looked out the window. "All of them. I go back as far as I can remember and you're always there."

"Is that a bad thing?" you asked, lifting your head from his shoulder and looking up at him.

He turned to you, your faces only inches apart now. "No. It's a good thing." he said softly as his eyes quickly glanced down at your lips and then back to your eyes. He placed his hand on your cheek and you both moved closer, gravitating towards each other. Your heart was racing in anticipation.

Your lips brushed lightly before finally meeting in a kiss. It was sweet, but passionate. The two of you pulled away after some time, both breathless and with smiles on your faces.

He thought about that moment as he laid in bed next to you. Thinking about everything that had happened in between that moment and this moment. How you had ended up in this situation.

"Can't sleep?" you asked. Your voice drawing him out of his thoughts.

"Not sleepy." he said, and you smiled knowing that he would say that to make it seem like falling asleep wasn't something he couldn't do, but rather something he didn't want to do at the moment.

"Okay." you said as you caressed his face. "But try to get some rest." He nodded but his eyes were open, focused on the ceiling above him. "I love you, Bellamy Blake." you told him, and he turned to look at you.

"I love you, [y/n]." he said, taking your hand in his and kissing it. He pulled you closer and held you tightly for the rest of the night.
