Red skull checked on Jane again. He made it a habit in the last week to check on her every hour of the day, even in the middle of the night. He peaked around the corner to find her awake and looking out the port hole. He crept up to her so that he didn't startle her, she turned her head to him and looked like she was going to cry. "Daddy is that you?" He smiled and not wanting to trust his voice he nodded his head. She raced to him and into his arms and cried uncontrollably on his shoulder for a full half hour and they both had to have a clean up. Once she was cleaned and dressed she climbed on his back as they headed for the bridge.

The Cabal were talking to each other when Red skull came in with a happy and laughing chlid on his shoulders. Dracula couldn't help but laugh along with the child, he wouldn't admit it but he would've felt horrible if he had to kill her. He was quite fond of children. Modoc sighed and Attuma ended up laughing as well, Red skull placed the child on the ground and she immediately kicked Attuma in the knee! Attuma yelped in pain and the child started yelling at him. "That's what you get for being a big meanie!" She was about to kick him in a more painful place when Red skull grabbed her and whispered in her ear. She looked ashamed and lowered her head, "I'm sorry I didn't know you were my daddy's friend." She hugged him and he couldn't find it in his heart not to forgive her and hugged her back. Modoc rolled his eyes at the display, "So what is the child's name?" "Her name is Jane. She is thirteen in a month." Red skull replied as he watched her make friends with Dracula and Attuma, it was amazing that she was so trusting even after all she had been through. They went to the dinning room to get her some food since she never ended up eating at Avengers tower. Jane asked her new friends many questions about their lives, they were surprised to find that she was so curious and wasn't afraid to ask things, but she did have trouble understanding things and Red skull had to teach the others how to explain things in a way she can understand.

Later that week.
She liked watching the fish, she wished that she could swim with them. None of the people in her village knew how to swim so she never learned. She looked at Attuma and he smiled at her. "How big is this lake Attuma?" "This my friend is the ocean not a lake." "What is the ocean?" "It's a lot bigger than a lake and it is where I live." "Oh so your a fish?" "I live in a city called Atlantis, hundreds of years ago my ancestors were human, when Atlantis sunk to the bottom of the ocean my ancestors evolved so that they could live above and below the ocean. At least that's what I was told." Jane giggled and thought about this for a moment. She had an idea, she turned her head to him, "Attuma can you teach me how to swim?" He was surprised at first but then smiled and agreed to her proposal.

The next day.
The submarine surfaced above the water in a covered cove. Red skull agreed that it was about time she learned how to swim. Attuma tied a rope around her waist, once it was on tight he held her hand and they jumped into the water. He pulled her head up above the water and she laughed. Attuma taught her basic swimming skills and was surprised how quickly she was learning in one lesson. Red skull watched happily as his daughter was having so much fun. "Daddy where's Dracula? Why isn't he out here?" "He is nocturnal and doesn't usually come out in the daylight unless he has to." Red skull replied as he watched her. He decided to slip into the water and swim with them. Jane splashed him with water and they all laughed together. "By the way i love the swimwear, looks like Atlantian clothing." Attuma said swimming over just to get splashed by both Red skull and Jane. He was right though, the clothes were from Atlantis and they were perfect for her to swim in because it helps keep the body warm in and out of the water. Attuma promised to teach her how to swim under the water in a few days, he explained that it would give her time to get used to the water. Red skull helped her to her room, she was so tired that she barely had the energy to change into her pajamas. She saw Dracula at the dinning table and told him all about her day. She fell asleep after dinner on the table, Red skull picked her up and with Dracula and Attuma's help he carried her to her room and tucked her into her bed. They left the room and had a talk about who will be teaching her what kind of things for her education.
