It was the first day of school. Jane was nervous to hop on the bus, her dads waited with her in front of the tower for the school bus. Red skull was constantly tidying up her shirt collar and asked her questions. "Now are you sure you have your textbooks?" "Yes dad." "Your contacter incase something happens?" "Yes dad it's right here." She pulled a card out of her pocket and showed it to him. She put it back securely so that she didn't lose it. "Do you have your lunch? All of your stationery?" "Yes dad. I have everything i need." The school bus rounded their corner and she found herself wrapped in both her parents arms. Steven smiled at her. "Now don't worry about the teachers. I have already explained about you being homeschooled so their shouldn't be anymore calls about you being disruptive." She smiled happily at him and he tossed her hair about playfully. "Alright get on the bus or it'll leave without you." He gently pushed her onto the bus and she found herself a seat, she looked out the window and saw her parents smiling and waving goodbye to her, she waved back with a smile until she couldn't see them anymore.

Jane walked into the principals office to get her timetable meet the person she was to be paired up with. "You'll like this boy, his name is Sam. I asked him last year if he'd be interested in helping you and he said he'd give it a go."

Sam was walking with his friend Peter Parker over to the principals office to pick up the new girl for class. He walked in and was spellbound by what he saw. The girl was almost as tall as he was, she had shining dark brown hair that dangled over her shoulder and halfway down her back. She turned to look at him and he saw the most beautiful green eyes he'd ever seen. Her skin was the perfect shade of bage, at least that's what he thought the colour was called. Peter told him about this girl since he was away when she was here, but he couldn't believe how beautiful she was. "Ah, Sam! This is Jane, the girl i told you about. I need you to help her with her learning." Sam couldn't say anything, Jane looked away from him and he decided to try and speak to her. "My name is Sam. We'd better hurry or we'll be late for class." He held out his hand and she accepted, the moment her hand touched his he felt a tingling feeling go through his arm and down his spine. He lead her to class, he kept looking at her from the corner of his eye, he didn't know why he was feeling this way but he liked it.

The first class was gym, this year the boys and girls are being put together because of the 'helping hand' program. The other girls in the class except for the girl she met on her orientation were laughing at her because she had stringy arms and legs. She wore her gym clothes wich were Natasha's old training clothes. One of the girls yelled out a taunt trying to make herself look smart. "Hey new girl, are you from a freak show or are your clothes from the circus!" Jane looked at her then snapped her head to the teacher when he blew his whistle. "Alright you maggots! It's time to see how bad you have gotten over the summer!" Jane looked around and noticed that not a lot of the students were very fit. She then looked at the obstacles the teacher was pointing out and saw it was like the one Thor and her were running the other day! The teacher saw her smiling and began to yell at her. "If you think that's amusing then you go and do the course on your own!" Jane nodded to him not realizing that he didn't mean it as a good thing. She ran to the tires and jumped them like she did when she was with Thor training to run faster, she jumped on the ropes and swing through them like she did in the Amazon jungles with her parents from when she was younger. She quickly climbed up the wall like she did with Hulk a few weeks ago on the cliff side of Mount Everest. She finally jumped from the wall and onto the trampoline, did an air roll and landed on her feet like when she was practicing acrobatics with Hawkeye in the training room. She looked behind her and saw all of the students and the teacher with their mouths open in shock, all except for Sam who smiled at her with astonishment and joy. Not only was she beautiful but she was fit and acrobatic! She was the entire package in one girl! She calmly walked back to her spot and watched as the other students attempted to do the same as her but failed. The second class was science, she was paired up with Sam and he starred at her face and thought about how all these chemicals and lights made her face glow in the most amazing ways.

In the third class it was English and she was having trouble with her grammar. Sam felt himself blush as Jane touched his hand to get his attention, he tried to explain what the lesson was about. He blushed even more whenever she smiled in his direction, he couldn't understand why he felt the way he did and he wished that he could be able to get into her head and see if she felt the same way. He never once heard her speak so far, maybe she was the strong silent type. At lunch he and his friends sat with her in the cafeteria and they all tried to get her to talk, when she left to get some water Sam told them how he felt for her but regretted it immediately. "So your heart is opening up like a budding rose in the spring. I didn't know it would happen to you anytime soon but love is mysterious." Danny said not meaning to make it sounding like an insult. Ava laughed. "That's funny since it's spring now." They all laughed and Sam ended up laughing as well. "What are you guys laughing about?" The voice was heavenly, he looked to find Jane smiling towards her new friends. "Oh it's nothing Jane. Just a joke you won't understand at the moment." Ava said making sure that Sam doesn't embarrass  himself. After school the bus had broken down, Sam offered to walk her home. She took his hand and she told him about her parents and he told her about how he was orphaned. They got to Avengers tower and she let go of his hand. "So this is where you live?" He asked her not really wanting to see her leave. "Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow Sam. I had a lot of fun today." She was about to walk away but stopped and looked back at Sam. She leaned over and kissed him on the cheek! He stood there dumbstruck as she jogged to the door and went inside.

That afternoon he was distracted at training and stood in the middle of the room staring blankly at the wall thinking about Jane. "Come on Nova! We need to train if we're ever going to graduate from S.H.E.I.L.D training." Ava (a.k.a White Tiger) called out trying to avoid the training bots. Nova ignored her and sat down sighing with a stupid smile on his face. Nick Furry shook his head in disappointment and turned off the training procedure. "Everyone get in here now!" He yelled into the microphone and they all walked out of the training room and into the observation room. "You all did great, except for you Nova!" He pointed at Nova with a long finger. "Why were you just standing there like mold on a shower curtain!" Nova didn't seem to hear him and just gave him a goofy smile and sighed. Nick lifted an eyebrow at the boy and Luke began to laugh. "Sorry Furry, sir, Nova here has fallen in love with a girl today." He patted his friend on the back. Nova walked over to the window in the direction facing Avengers tower and sighed again. "So he's in love with Jane, the adopted daughter of Captain America and Red skull?" The teens gasped, they didn't know that's who her parents were, except for Nova of course. He wanted her to be his girlfriend. He was in love with her. He felt like he would do anything for her.
