Jane's Origin part 3

Red skull scowled as he heard Mother Night's voice behind him. She was always trying to get herself in his bed but he knew her intentions were to control HYDRA through him, 'Does she really think I'm so stupid?' he thought to himself as she walked around so that he would be able to see her. "Red skull, the taker of lives and en slaver of countries is nursing a baby back to health. How the Americans would be shocked if they saw you this way." She said with a hint of bitterness in her tone. She knew that if there is a baby here then it would be harder to get into the man's bed. Red skull huffed and tuned his attention to Jane as she was pulling on his jacket buttons, Mother Night growled at the fact that she was being ignored and she snatched the baby out of skull's arms before anyone could do anything! He was about to slap the woman when Jane started to hit her, with a normal baby this wouldn't be a problem but she was no ordinary baby! Mother Night threw Jane onto the ground and the back of her head split on impact! Red skull was fuming with rage and punched the woman in the face before he gently picked Jane up and tried to calm her while Zola quickly went to get stitches and carefully stitched her back up. Red skull said nothing the entire time and could only hear Jane's painful cries. Mother Night was desperately trying to apologize but it was no use, he just couldn't hear her. Jane looked up into Skulls eyes and he felt his heart sink as he saw her emerald eyes turn into a murky green, and her face that was usually so bright and cheerful was stained with tears and her hair was stained with patches of her own blood. He unknowingly shed a tear which made the people in the ward gasp, no one had ever seen the mighty Red skull show any human feeling for anyone! He sat on the medical bed as Zola checked for any further damage, he held her close to him and wrapped his arms protectively around her as she stained his jacket with tears. Mother Night tried again to apologize but he interrupted her with a growl. "I suggest you'd better leave before i come over there and gouge out your eyes." He growled and the color drained out of her face as she turned and ran as fast as she could and made plans to stay out of his sight of the next three months.

After making sure that she was alright Red skull took Jane back to his room and set her into her bouncing chair for her to play while he got her bottle ready, he put things into more perspective. He loved her, he felt like he would lay down his own life for her, but he needed to send her to his wife. He knew that it would be hard to explain the situation to her but he knew that he'd rather get an ear full from his wife then to let Jane get hurt like that again. He also knew that he really shouldn't be so worried about her since she had the super soldier serum in her veins that will heal her injuries but he just couldn't bear to see her in pain. He walked into the living area with the bottle in one hand and a towel in the other to clean the blood out of her hair. It was the first time he saw the true color of her hair, it was a dark brown with small lines of blond still in her hair. He gently pulled the dried blood out of her hair with the towel before he fed her.

Captain America, AKA Steven Rogers, had sneaked into the HYDRA base to find evidence of a HYDRA weapon and destroy it if he can. He was in the vents and was above the Medical Ward when he heard Red skulls name and looked down in time to see Mother Night throw an object on the ground, he saw the horror in Red skulls face and in a split second he punched the woman in the face and picked up the object that he could see was a baby! He seemed distant as their doctor was stitching up the baby and could just hear Mother Night almost crying trying to apologize and keep her distance. He finally saw the man's lips move but he couldn't hear what he was saying, whatever it was it was enough to turn the woman's face pale and make her run for her life! He waited for an hour to listen to the conversation and heard the doctor talk about his disgust about the child being a lab rat. This conversation peeked his interest and when Red skull left the room he tried his best to follow the demon like man. He followed him to what seemed to be the mans quarters and watched what was happening, he saw as Red skull clipped the child still unhappy into a bouncing chair but it seemed to be more interested in what the adult was doing. The child suddenly snapped her head up to him and he held his breath in fear, he was with no weapon and his shield was strapped to his back and he cant reach it in his position. The child lost interest in him and looked back to Red skull who came back with a bottle and was just testing the temperature on his wrist when he was walking into the room, he held a towel in one of his hands. He knelt down in front of the child and he knelt there for a while and when he moved away the baby was mostly cleaned up. He picked up the child and took her to a bamboo rocking chair and fed her, as he fed her Steve saw Red skull give the child a sad smile and whispered to her about how he will never let anyone hurt her again and made many hollow promises to her. 'So the baby is a girl? Where did she come from?' he thought and tried to hear what her name was but he was still too far away to properly hear him.

Skull just finished feeding the girl when there was a knock on the door, he heard skull call out to the newcomer to enter and saw Madame Hydra come in with little girls clothes and small shoes for the baby. "I hope these will serve her well, at least they will be warn." she said placing the clothes on the study desk near the window across the room, skull looked at her with what looked like sadness. "I appreciate this Madame Hydra, i know it must be hard after what happened to your child." Madame Hydra shed a small tear as if remembering something. "Yes it is, she didn't deserve to die that way." she sighed and smiled towards the baby but she completely ignored the woman. 'What's going on? Is Red skull showing her ..... kindness?' he shook it off thinking that it was all for show and was about to continue on with his mission when he fell through the vent and slammed hard on the floor catching both of the people in the room with surprise! The world went black as he saw the Red skulls blurry face before he passed out.

Red skull and Madame Hydra carried the injured soldier into a cage in the skulls room and locked him in, he wrapped a collar like device around his neck and turning it on making the cells in his body slow so that his powers would be useless. With the threat contained he lead Madame HYDRA out the door giving her his regards. After an hour Red skull was just putting Jane to bed when Steven woke up, for some reason he felt awful about him being in a cage but decided to deal with it in the morning. Steven watched in confusion as Red skull got a few bottles and poured milk into them before placing them into the fridge. Red skull yawned and knew that it was going to be another long night.

Steven woke up with a start at the sound of crying, he watched Red skull wearily walked out of his bedroom with the baby in his arms and listened to her cry as he got one of the bottles and heated it in a saucepan. Red skull looked at the captain and smiled at him before he sat on the wicker rocking chair feeding the baby the warm milk. After she was fed he watched as Red skull rocked her to sleep in the wicker chair.
