They were celebrating Jane's 12th birthday. The cake was circular, half looked like Captain Americas sheild and the other looked like the HYDRA symbol. Red skull was finishing the decorations while Steven took Jane on a nature walk to get her out of the base. She loved walking out in the woods, she always went out her way to save an injured or defenseless animals. This time she found an injured turtle and a baby bird that hurt it's leg, Steven saw that she got her kindness from him and her ..... well....... he wasn't quite sure what she has gotten from Red skull but he'll figure it out. When they returned home she raced to the living room to show Red skull what she found, not finding him anywhere she put them away in her room for them to heal. Once she was sure they were secure she went to the living room to find her parents lighting candles on the cake. She laughed as they began to sing to her and she blew out the flames once she thought it was alright to. They clapped their hands in pride, before they could cut the cake though an alarm went off. Red skull went to check what the problem was, almost a minute later he raced out the door in what looked like panic. About half an hour later Steven ran out the door and bumped into another man, they raced off but the other man kicked at Jane while Steven wasn't looking and Jane dropped to the ground. She raced to warn her parents about the betrayal but she was too late, she saw her parents fighting! She ran to stop it but she was knocked out by a panicking solider.

Steven and Red skull pretended to fight each other to hide their love for each other. They both heard Jane cry out and got distracted enough that Steven accidentally hit Red skull and he went down! He saw the plane Red was building and noticed a bomb was strapped to it! He didn't want to rist his new families lives so he got into the plane and made an excuse that it had a bomb on it that is headed for DC. In his final moments above the Atlantic Ocean he was crashing into he thought of his family and how they will be safe now. He was just thinking of their faces when the ship hit the cold water, by the time the water was filling the room he was just remembering Jane's emerald eyes and Red skull's handsome face before he passed out.
