I then stopped in my paw steps. "what do you want!" I shouted inside his head.
I looked around to see the water bounce back from the shiny walls. I saw moss growing up from the floor. A pack that never turned human always let nature do its biding. I then could hear the paw steps of the alpha and the instinct to lower my head. But I didn't like that instinct so I remained in my pose.
I saw his misshapen form bounce back from the walls. My eyes started to glow a deep red. I couldn't control it. Don't look him in the eyes. I thought. Whenever I disobeyed an order from the alpha I would always have this incredible wave of regret and it was hard to get over it. But now I learned that if I didn't look him in the eyes then I wouldn't feel that regret that filled my mind...that tensed my pose.
He then stood in front of me. I quickly tried to look at the rocky walls. "I want you to listen!" He shouted. I suddenly flinched and looked up into his red blazing eyes. He was a long furred grayish wolf and scars were all across his body from the fight he had long ago with the other alpha. "What!" I shouted.
He then looked deeply into my eyes. Then he looked down at the glassy floor. "Please just." He then closed his eyes. "Stay here, please." I looked away from him as soon as he said the words. I also looked down at the glassy floor that reflected both of us.
"I don't want to become the next alpha." I said slowly. His eyes glowed a deep red. They looked very similar. except I had moms pitch black fur. He then stood up on all fours. towering over me. No wolf under the rank of the alpha could disobey a order when the alpha did this. It was almost like giving a curse.
I tried to look away. But I couldn't. Everything I thought about at that moment suddenly paused. My gaze was then transfixed towards his eyes. My muscles didn't allow me to move away. I felt my soul trapped inside a unremovable shied. I knew this would haunt me. The words my alpha was about to say.
"You will fight me!" He commanded. "You are the only wolf in this pack Kin to me! You have the blood of a alpha and you will use it to protect the pack and the next generation will fight you and the next and the cycle will go on and on! You understand me?"
"Yes! Alpha! I will fight you!" I then winced and then I felt the command suddenly spin around my head. No. I thought. No. He then stopped towering over me. His face was still in anger. Then he turned around and walked back into the cave.
I was just given a true command by the alpha and the words circled my head. I knew the command would keep spinning around my mind. Distracting everything I was doing. Putting me out of task. Until I defected the alpha and became the next that is.
But I knew my father couldn't control it either. He was given the command by the last alpha and now the command was given to me. I could now never escape those words. They were there forever in my mind...
