Bond

"Ok." I whispered. I could feel tears in my eyes. It had been so so close. They could of had killed him and what would happen next, would they kill me?

"I know a place. The elders of my village only whispered of it. But it is the perfect place. Hidden from the outside world. Now I need you to close your eyes."

"Your going to fly." I whispered. I wiped away the tear with my dirty sleeve. He nodded. I closed my eyes and held tightly onto him.

I could feel the air suddenly rush around me and my mind started to spin and panic. It had been like that for a few minutes. I felt like I was about to fall off and die. But I knew he was holding tightly onto me and I was holding tightly onto him. But my mind was spinning way too much and I felt the world close in around me and I slowly lost consciousness.

"Wake up." Whispered a voice. I could feel the warm grass, the sun beating against my body. I slowly opened my eyes. I could see his face and I felt fear plummet. "I felt your body go limp and I panicked." He said. hesitation was strong in his voice. "I'm ok. I just past out." I said.

"Good." He whispered. I sat up and looked around the unfamiliar environment. The trees had more color to it instead of the familiar dark green that painted the forest back at my home...everything looked strange. "Uh, where exactly are we?" I asked.

"The southern west coast of Ero. It's near Tyro, you know the jungles. It's where the place is, you see long ago the Kiawah built an empire but soon enough war broke out and the Kiawah had to flee into the depths of Tyro. I think it would be a great place for us to stay hidden."

"Oh um, ok." I said not knowing half of what he said.

"I think we don't need to fly. I guess it's time to take a long walk across the border of Ero."

I was sweating enough to the unfamiliar heat of the sun but I needed to do this in order to protect his and my life. I sighed and I started to walk across the jungle.

We stopped a few hours later next to a huge waterfall. I washed my face in the fresh water and drank it. Josh had came back with something giant and round in his hands. He then sat on a rock with his feet in the water and looked at the weird thing.

"What you holding?" I asked and sat next to him. "It's a giant berry. I've never seen it before but it looks edible."

"But I thought you sucked blood." I said, my expression puzzled. "Well I can't find any animals for miles so this will
have to do." I nodded. Not knowing what to say. "You need to eat too, there's some more berries in the forest. We'll eat this until I could scent another edible animal. I nodded. I was more forward into meat but I guess fruit would have to do for now until we could find an area with more prey.

I came back with two giant berries in my hands. Once again I sat next to Josh. I took a bite at one of the berries and gag. "I know." He whispered. "I'm not used to the taste either. I've been hunting deer and rabbits and moose most of my life."

"Me too." I said and I forced myself to take another bite of the berry.

"So uh, that was, scary." I said trying to find some way to start a conversation. "How did you do that? You were so fast and so strong and you killed him off like that. I didn't even know you were that...powerful."

"We both have secrets and you told me almost everything about you. Time that I told you my secrets."

"You don't have to you know. You can keep your secrets. I already know enough." He whispered. I sighed, I had to tell him, I had a voice inside my head to tell him everything and I wanted to know everything about him to. "I won't tell everything." I whispered. "But I know what happened back there."

"I'm a werewolf. I have an alpha. It doesn't happen anymore because to alpha finds a mateless pair and orders them to love each other and they do. But it's not true love. You see werewolves had this love bond. It's extremely powerful and when a werewolf finds a mate they protect them with their own life and when a Mate dies they become depressed for the rest of their lives, well unless they have a child or pup to look after. But back there I think...it was love."

His eyes then started to glow. "You love me, more then I ever imagined." He whispered. "Yes and I don't know why. It's just so strange..."

After a moment of gazing at each others eyes we got up and started to head back into the jungle.

But a question still was spinning around my head. Why do I love a vampire? How did this even happen in the first place?
