Recap:
Who knew such an awful beginning of a day would lead to quite a good one.

Guess who's going on a date with Ariana?
This guy!
My lips curl up in a huge smile at the thought of being with Ariana for the whole day. The thought that maybe I'd end up holding her hand once again, or maybe gain enough confidence to actually tell her how I feel.
The past few days have been absolutely terrible. Sabrina coming around, ruining my family dinner with Ariana.
Oh goodness. Family dinner with Ariana. Doesn't that sound amazing? To consider Ariana as family. I mean not in a weird related type, I mean like maybe she'll be part of my family one day. A man can only hope and dream.
As I was saying, Sabrina had to come around and put my sweet angel in such a bad mood, dragging me along with her for an entire day of absolute adverse.
With all the lunacy that has been going around, I haven't exactly had the time to take in the beauty of this little town. So I took this opportunity to look around, finding people stepping off the trains in brightly coloured clothes, clutching onto what seems to be guidebooks.
I had gone home quite early, and I wasn't in the mood to go back inside the house after the horrible incident of seeing Sabrina in my room, so I decided to go out for a little walk, of course, after I had changed into a more proper set of clothes.
My long legs carried me on my way down the other side of town. I swiftly dodged some, what I can only assume as tourists, as they were holding funny looking fanny packs and a camera was hanging around their neck as if ready to capture any moment that was soon to happen.
I gave a small smile to a few of them, some even asking to have a photo with me, which was quite unordinary, but I let it slide. Far ahead, I can hear the traffic, or the echoes of loud voices coming from the busy market.
My mind couldn't help but wander off to Ariana. What could she possibly be doing right now? Working, you idiot. I couldn't help but think of how she has remained resolute to be friends with me even after all the mess I've put her through.
I can't stop thinking about the way her eyes would light up when she would talk about the things she loved, or the way she would look at me with genuine concern every time something horrible would happen to me.
I thought of the way she danced in front of me and Bee when I went to help them paint their apartment. The way her hips swayed from side to side, and how good she danced, no matter how many times she'd tell me she didn't know how to dance.
I wandered off to the way she changes moods. The first time she talked to me properly was when I bumped into her and ran away, and the next day, she slammed her hand on my table, absolutely furious but later, she got more comfortable and she apologized for the way she acted. Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm happy I bumped into her.
How was I ever going to impress her?
I'm pretty sure all the guys she used to date were handsome and rich blokes who could give her everything she could ever want. How was I going to stand out? I'm just Harry, the quiet boy who likes to draw exquisite figures who just so happens to like a very sarcastic, but absolutely lovable lady.
Should I take her out on a fancy dinner date, and we could order spaghetti and have that moment where both of us take the same piece and we end up kissing? That's impossible. We're going to eat with our forks.
Maybe I should bring her to my place, and we'd end up making out like what always happens in the books?
Oh, who am I kidding? I didn't even plan on anything before I asked her out. I honestly thought I wouldn't reach this far.
After a while of thinking, I decided I'd be better off to get home now, noticing how the clouds were now turning grey, and I really did not want to be caught up in the rain.
Arriving home, I find mum, dad, and Gemma all sitting on our dinner table. Curiosity got the best of me, and before I knew it, I was now taking a seat beside Gemma to join in whatever was going on.
"Harold, hey!" Gemma cheered, my arms wrapping itself around her after she gave me a quick side hug.
"Hi." I grabbed Mittens, cradling the little kitten in my arms, shaking uncomfortably as my mum and dad both stare at me. "What is it? Why are you guys staring?"
"You were gone, and we assumed you went to the coffee shop. And you being in the coffee shop only meant one thing, well, your love for coffee, but also Ariana. So, any news?" Mum starts to ramble on, squeezing onto dad's hand as all of them await for my answer.
A small blush creeps onto my cheeks as I look down, fumbling with my fingers while Mittens lays quietly on my lap. "I asked her out on a date." I say quietly, my cheeks only getting into a deeper shade of red with every word I spoke.
"And what did she say?" Gemma squeals, dad banging on the table to pretend they're drums just to add a little suspense to the scene.
"She said yes."
"Oh, my baby! You're so grown up now." I hear my mum say before I am engulfed in a huge hug, mum squealing as she rubs onto my arms, a loving glint on her eyes. "We love her, and we approve of her. Harry, you better make her yours." Dad pats my back, speaking in a drawl, a low chuckle escaping his lip.
"So, that was what you guys were talking about while I was out?"
"Exactly. We were thinking of all the things we could do to take her out while you two are together. All the plans we could have when she came over, even future gifts for Christmas!"
"Mum, we're not together." I bury my face in my palms, shaking my head as I grab kittens, marching up the stairs while everyone downstairs scrambles around, going back to their usual tasks.
"Yet. Not together yet." Mum makes sure she says the word 'yet' rather loudly than the rest, causing a blush to yet again land on my cheeks.
I stumble across my room, Mittens still safely tucked in my arms. The day was now becoming quite gloomy, where the rain spat meanly against our windows. I began to work my way through my grubby room.
"You hear that Mittens? Mum, dad, and Gemma support of me and Ariana. I'm sure you do too, I know you love her just as much as I do. Hmm.." Mittens gazed around my room before looking back at me, as if she understood me, before letting out an adorable 'meow'.
My hands grab onto the tiny book I haven't been able to get a hold of for a couple of days now. I grin, flipping through the pages as I find myself in pure adoration of all the sketches I had made of Ariana. Brushing through the pages, I think of how lucky I am to come across such a lovely woman.
Taking out my pencil, I open up a blank page, starting yet another sketch of Ariana. My fingers glided gracefully against the blank parchment, slowly starting to perfect her face shape while I do so.
While drawing, I couldn't help but think about the things I should do for her.
I'm only hoping I can create a date that's going to be unforgettable for her.
