I continued standing as everyone spread out to different areas of the bus and started doing their own thing.

"Dude. You gonna sit down? Hungry? What? What's wrongs?"

I starred at Jayy, analyzing the words he was saying like some kind of weirdo.

"Um yeah I'll just uh.. sit over here." I said while walking over to a small chair and sitting down.

"I know you." Kyle said. "I've seen you around school."

"Yeahhh.." I blushed as I admitted to the fact.

"IF I rememeber correctly, your friend... Alice? and you, stare at me all the time in the halls." He said in an overly confident tone.

I felt my face grow hot, still overwhelmed.

"Shut up man! Your'e making my new best friend uncomfortable!" Dahvie said while talking in a baby voice and walking over then hugging me. Dahvie scolded Kyle jokingly and Kyle apologized. Dahvie reminded me of a teddy bear, I thought.

"Thanks!" Dahvie said happily while hugging me tighter.

I guess I thought out loud on accident.

The bus started pulling away and driving onto the highway. Over the next few hours, I became more comfortable around the group of them. Well, I wasn't as awkward anyway.

"Welp! I'm tired. Night guys!" Dahvie said. "Violetttttttttteee? Give the teddy a hug?"

I gave him a sarcastic glare then got up and hugged him. Dahvie walked to the back of the bus and Jayy fell asleep shortly after. Kyle and I were the only two left awake and we were watching The Nightmare Before Christmas for the hundreth time. That movie never gets old though.

Kyle got up and walked slowly over to the kitchen area.

"Want a snack?" He asked.

"Nah. Thanks though. But what time is it?"

"A little past three. But actually, it's time for me to make a move."

I looked over to him, confused. I suddenly got butterflies and I absolutely hated butterflies.

"Uh dude... what?"

"Oh come on. Don't play dumb!" He replied. "You know you've been wanting me to talk to you ever since you saw me at school. Then you saw me at Chipotle and hoped for a chance."

"Kyle I don't know what you're talking about." I lied. I don't know how, but he read me like a book.

"Don't lie." he said.

"I'm not?"

Another lie, I thought to myself.

"Alright whatever. Goodnight Violet. See ya in the morning."

He walked over to me and kissed my forehead before walking to the back of the bus.
