Jayys P.O.V.~

"Guys? Violets been back there for quite some time." I scanned the room, hoping that one of them caught on to what I was saying.

"Probably an old friend. You know how girls are. They chat for EVERRRR." Drew joked.

"Haha yeahh.. I'll just go check anyways... You know to see what the new gossip is and yeah.. ha.."

*knock knock*I lightly tapped the wall before moving the curtain to where the bunks are. "Violet?"

No answer. Maybe she fell asleep? I dunno. Girls don't make sense. I heard a slight gasp and it didn't sound like a very happy one. "Violet?" I tried again. No answer.

This time I wasn't going to just stand there and ask again. I moved the curtain to see her hunched over curled up in a ball against the wall. She was just bawling.

"Violet...." I whispered. My feet barely made a noise as I walked over to her. She didn't even budge as I sat down next to her and wrapped my arms around her. We just sat in silence. She didn't want to say anything and neither did I.

She moved her arms to wrap them around me and for the first time I caught a glimpse of her wrist. At first I thought i'd just let it slide. She's having so much trouble right now I didn't want to bring it up. But I couldn't help myself. I reached out and grabbed her wrist.

"Violet what's this."

She pulled back her arm but I wouldn't let go. She looked frustrated. Pulling her arm back harder and harder.

"Jayy let. go!" She said gritting her teeth.

"No. Not until you tell me everything."

"Jayy! Let. go!" She yelled again, trying to fight back the tears.

"Look Violet. You have to promise me never to do this again. It's not worth it. Nothing is worth your pain you hear me? Nothing."

She just lost it. She was fighting back the tears but she couldn't fight it anymore, the tears won. She became limp and hid her face in my chest. The tears fell from her eyes like a waterfall and I swore if she didn't stop soon we'd drown.

I wasn't exactly clear on what just happened, and I wasn't exactly clear on her past. But there was one thing I was sure of, one of those scars was long and it wasn't just like all the others. It went from her wrist to nearly the inside of her elbow. One night, she almost didn't make it, i'm sure of it. So I knew that no matter what just happened, I need to protect her. I need to make sure she knows that she needs to be here. And with Sally gone, she doesn't have a girl friend to chat with about this stuff. Damn. Why are the ones with the prettiest eyes the ones who have shed the most tears?
