that afternoon, tony pulled up to the de la cruz residents to pick up monica. he had already grabbed clay and hannah. the next stop was jeff atkins' home.
he beeped the horn for the second time, watching the curtains draw from the downstairs window, then closing back up. tony assumed it was montgomery.
"she's running late," hannah rolled her eyes, "she better not have forgotten my head piece."
"I cant believe that we even got invited to this party anyway." clay admitted, leaning forward in his seat. clay sat in the middle of the back seat while tony and hannah occupied the front.
"I cant believe that you're the idiot that would choose to be a superhero." hannah giggled, looking back at him.
as clay was about to say something, monica pulled open the door to the back seat, "okay, montgomery I heard you the first time."
"bye mo!" zach called from the open window.
"we'll see you in an hour!"monty hollered from the drivers seat, turning on his car.
Monica rolled her eyes, stepping into the back seat. "what's up."
"my girl!" hannah smiled to monica from the front seat.
"welcome to the loser wagon, mo!" clay sat back in his seat as tony pulled away from the curb.
"we are not losers, guys," monica said, pushing her bag onto the floor where her feet were. "we're perfectly perfect, okay? everyone just has different ideas as to what 'popular' is."
"popular includes cheerleaders," clay listed on his hands, "athletes, uhhh- girlfriends to said athletes."
"just because I'm dating justin foley doesn't mean I'm any less popular than you clay."
