Chapter 5E

Ryukas and Shiho Past

"Hey Mummy!"

"Yeah Ryu?"

"Look at that!" Young Ryu Nakashi said as he pointed to a puppeteer just opposite of them. "What is it?"

"It is a puppet show, you wanna go see it?"

Ryu had a big wide grin and nodded.

"Alright then, lets go!"

Ryu ran and dragged his mother along and took the front seat right infront of the booth. He didnt know why but, he found the way the puppets move graceful amd beautiful...

If only humans could move like that, he thought.

Just as they were leaving after the show, the puppeteer called them.

"Hey! Yuna Nakashi!"

Mother turned around, "Who are you?"

The puppeteer pulled on a hoodie while saying, "forgot me already? Its your senpai during mage lessons, Timari Kuso!"

"Timari-Senpai!" Mothers face lit up. "Its been a long time!"

"Yes, and this must be Hugo and your child!" He said as he rubbed Ryu head.

"His name is Ryu. He really like your magic puppets."

"Oh! Ryu, Do you wanna learn magic puppets?"

Ryu smiled from ear to ear. "Hai!"

Just months later, Hugo died in a mission. Timari hugged the crying Yuna during the funeral while Ryu looked at them confused.

"Puppets wont cry..." Ryu thought, frowning at his mothers tears.

"T-Timari..." Yuna mumbled.

"I know, Yuna, I know..."

Soon afterwards, Timari moved in to stay with Yuna and Ryu. Ryu was of course, overjoyed, because it meant more magic lessons with Timari.

"Timari, becareful of what you teach Ryu."

"Of course, Yuna." They talked to each other as they cuddled together with Ryu.

Just a year later, Timari became Ryu's stepdad. He got married with Yuna.

Ryu by then, was a 10 year old mage. He was really talented, no one knew why. Except for his mother and his stepdad.

"Timari, you need to stop teaching him magic, its going to expose his true self."

"Yuna, dont worry. When it comes to, I know what to do." Timari assured her.

The more Ryu grew in power, the more Yuna was worried. Soon, she was so worried stricken that she got sick, very sick. She was going to die, thats what the doctors said.

"Yuna... You cant just leave me and Ryu..."

"Im sorry, Timari... Remember, that you cant let... the dark mage know about him..." and with that, Yuna stopped breathing.

Timari lived in grief for the next year, not teaching Ryu anything but Ryu taught himself. He started using manipulative magic to manipulate the kids in town, to the adults and finally even trained mages.

It was then Timari came back to him, Timari came back to his senses at last.

"Come Ryu, ill teach you more." He said.

Under Timaris teaching, Ryu grew and grew till by the time he was 16, it was obvious, the power that grew inside of him.

Zeref came, and struck death into Timari while Ryu was in school. When Ryu came back, he stared wide eyed at his stepdad and also, his teachers lifeless body.
