Outshine me,
you'll be Jupiter
I'll be a star
from a distant galaxy,
cold and dark
dim and dull.
Sometimes I will disappear
and only blinking
will bring me back.
People will
point shadowed fingers
at you and exclaim
how brightly you shine.
You be Jupiter
and I'll be the star
no one knows the name
of.
In the sea of glitter
you be Jupiter
I'll be a star
in the corner of the eye.
Outshine me.
Outshine the whole
night sky.
