As I board off of the plane all I can think of is Ashton's forced smile while I explained my situation for going back home.

Paris was beautiful and I will definitely want to go visit again, but it just didn't feel like a very nice trip. Considering fear was following me around constantly. I barely spent any time with Ashton too.

Ashton decided to stay for the remaining week to finish up his meetings. He can't celebrate my birthday with me, that is coming up right around the corner, but he said he'll send a gift over mail.

"Flight from Paris baggage on carriage three," I hear a lady announce on the loud speakers breaking me from my thoughts.

I smile. I'm happy that I'm back. I get to see Sam so soon. Hopefully he knows where to get me. Earlier in the Paris airport I texted him, telling to wait outside the doors if he wanted. I completely forgot about the time change and that it was going to be dark outside though.

The sound of suitcase wheels spinning on the floor rings in my ears along with a lot of chatter up ahead from the first class people who got off the plane earlier than I did.

I ended up getting a seat in economy, which was one of the last tickets they had available. I didn't mind at all. I was actually lucky that there was a flight and seat still available for me last evening.

I readjust my backpack on my drooping shoulders then check my phone to see the glowing screen shows that it's 3:27 in the morning.

I then turn a corner with the last group of people to get off of the plane. We finally make it to an open area and see a bunch of families waiting to greet the remaining people.

As I make my way through the dense crowd, I finally get through the storm of people to a less crowded area.

I look around, hoping to see the tall giant known as Sam. Not long after, my tired eyes connect with a certain someone, making a grin instantly and helplessly fell across my tired face and it suddenly feel as if weights lifted off of my shoulders.

Sam has his hands behind his back and smiles at me flashing his irresistible dimples. He's wearing a plaid shirt with an unzipped jacket overtop and has his signature glossy locks loosely fallen around his tired looking face.

I drop my backpack to the floor not far away and run over then leap into his huge arms. My arms wrap around his neck as I feel his own go tightly around my waist.

I snuggle my face into his neck as I feel Sam lift me right off of my feet. His hands hold my body firmly.

"Hi Sammy," I whisper, grinning like a fool into his soft hair.

"Hi Blair."

I pull away and automatically start to lean in, closing my eyes, but then quickly pull back, our lips inches away, forgetting he isn't Ashton.

"I'm sorry," I say awkwardly, my hands still tangled in his hair.

I secretly wish that I didn't have to pull away. As bad as it sounds, I want to kiss Sam, it feels so natural to, but it's wrong. I can't do that. Ashton would be crushed and I could never cheat on him. Not now.

His cheeks flood with red as he just softly chuckles. He sets me down then suddenly as his hands come from around my waist he reveals a huge bouquet of roses that were hidden behind my back.

My lips lift into a smile as he gives them to me and I take it in my hands with such delicacy. The bouquet has every color of rose I have ever seen all squished together.

"Happy early birthday present," Sam says, grinning while he sheepishly rubs the back of his neck. "I didn't know what color to get so I got them all."

I smile down at them then up at Sam. "Thank you. They're so beautiful," I say, taking his large hand and lacing our fingers together. "Now let's get out of here."

After we get out of the taxi and walk up the campus steps to the dorm building, Sam practically drags me to our apartment with my suitcase rolling on the hard tile and my flowers under his arm.

I yawn as he starts to unlock the apartment door with his hand that isn't holding mine.

I'm so jetleg and it doesn't help that I never slept a wink on the plane. Good thing I don't have classes or work in a few hours. I'm so glad it's almost summer.

Sam leads me inside and closes the door behind himself. The place has no lights on but, I manage to see an empty couch. Dean must be sleeping in the spare bedroom. I'll say hi to him tomorrow.

This time I lead Sam into the dark bedroom and place my suitcase on the floor. I get on my knees and zip it open then start to sort my clean and dirty clothes.

"You can do that later," Sam says while taking my hand and leading me over to my dresser. "Get changed."

I nod and as Sam leaves the room I quickly put on some sweats and the first shirt I manage to see in the dark room.

By the time he gets back I'm already in bed. He closes the door then walks over in his own night clothes and hops in beside me.

I turn over on my side and gaze at his face that has a cast of light shining across it from the window.

"Thanks for getting me from the airport," I tell him and scooch in so I'm closer to his warm body.

"Anytime," he whispers, his lips curling into a smile. "Now get some rest. I have something planned for later."

"Oh Sam." I can't help but smile. Of course he would do something like that for me. I run my fingers softly across his cheek. "You're so sweet."

I could stare at him all night, but after a while of us laying in silence and Sam's eyelids falling every so often, I assume he's nearly asleep.

I lean in, giving his forehead a kiss and snuggle in closer to him so our heads are on the same pillow.

Suddenly, he wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me closer. Our bodies press together and before I know it, I fall into one of the best sleeps I've ever had with the biggest smile on my face.
