The Grim Reaper's town is a dungeon of sinful souls gathered together with hope. A hope to change their fate and a hope to renew their souls.
The town was divided into 20 different headquarters. The first 10 headquarters were the top notchers of the town. They were called the Established and Technical middle class. These Grim Reapers often do corporate work. They organize the number of deaths and the future deaths every day. Established Middle Class differ from Technicals for the fact that Established middle class acquired their social statuses by choice, merit and effort. They are often from lower status and made their way up. On the other hand, the Technicals were the original middle class and acquired their status from day one.
While the other half of the headquarters were called the Working Class. These Grim Reapers were the ones who were physically involved with humans. They fetch and acompany souls to their destinations.
At the center of the town was the Grim Reaper Council. They are often known as the Ellites. These Grim Reapers are the big bosses. They managed and organized the whole town. At higit sa lahat naroon ang CEO. The Chief Executive Officer is the real deal. He's the boss of all bosses after all.
"It sounds like a chore, right?" ani ng moderator nila.
She unconciously nodded as she looked around. Everyone seemed so bored listening to the discussions, silently chanting to end Miss Yee's blabberings. Obviously Miss Yee, their moderator was taking so much time, talking about the same things for two hours straight. And definitely, no hint of stopping soon.
"Well it is, indeed. Grim reapers are the busiest. Araw-araw ba namang may namamatay na dapat nating sunduin and if we missed the schedule the souls will be late for the ride," Miss Yee continued.
"This is the start of your job. We have different reasons why we're here, yet we are tied together by the same goal." Tumikhim si Miss Yee. "I would like to say that, this is the beginning of your end and at the same time your first and last chance. You should cherish it and do your best."
Although Miss Yee was a bit insensitive at the time, she was good with words. She's great with pep talks and advice. If this wasn't just Lyca's first day of work and if she was not that excited about going to the human world, she would definitely love to listen. But she can't do it now. She's bombarded with a lot of thoughts beyond the town and going to the human realm finally.
After all, the Grim Reapers' journeys have never been easy. After the death of a sinful soul, their only destination is hell. But somehow, even evil ones believe they deserve second chances. Instead of going to that nasty place, they were offered a job and committed themselves to that second chance.
Grim Reapers studied for five years in the Academy. She was exhausted, but then she still graduated.
Quickly, as soon as Miss Yee dismissed them, she fumbled with her satchel and immediately got out. Trailing the huge hallway, her beautiful laced dress was a little bit baggy on her. That made her trip a lot of times. She didn't mind though. It's not like a dead person could die again. Well, it's possible, but it's a long story.
