It was Friday night and Rona was completely bored out of her mind. Every Friday Simon and Maia could come over and have a movie marathon with every terrible films that ever existed. Terrible movies are the best movies to watch. Until this Friday when Simon and Maia bailed on her for whatever reason. She was all alone in the house, to be fair when was she not, her mom was out with her friends having fun. Simon and Maia are probably having fun, Jonathan was probably having fun, everyone was having fun except for Rona.

She sat on her bed in her pajamas. She wore a oversized white shirt and pink pajama bottoms with polka dots. It wasn't meant to be stylish, it was meant to be comfortable. She was sitting on her bed listening to calm music and trying to think.

She was thinking about what Maia and Simon were really up to. Maia told her that she was doing inventory at Garroway Books. The only thing that Rona knew about Garroway Books is that it was owned by Luke Garroway. She didn't know much about Luke but she was sure he would never keep Maia to do work all night long or even past 8 pm. It had just been an excuse to not come to movie night, but why? They all loved movie night. Simon said something about how he was helping his mom do Jewish Stuff. She knew enough about his mom to know that she went to sleep at 8 pm. It was currently 8:30 pm so that would mean that both of them would be free. Whatever was going on she would find out.

There was no point in watching terrible movies alone if she had no one to laugh at her jokes. So she decided to binge watch something on Netflix. There are a lot of things to binge watch on Netflix but at this moment nothing pleased her. She was so caught up in the thought of what were Simon and Maia doing at this moment. She was one step closer to solving the mystery, whatever Simon and Maia were doing they are certainly doing it together.

There was a shrill sound of poorly chosen music in her ear. What the hell is that? She covered her ear from the loud obnoxious sound. The music from her neighbor was blasting so loud that she thought her windows could collapse any minute. She has been guilty of blasting music in the past, but it was nothing this loud and she had good taste in music. Her music taste: soft and calm and something alternative. It was clearly not something that felt like she was living through an earthquake or that her heart is about to drop with the beat.

She angrily walked over and opened her window, "JONATHAN! WHAT KIND OF WHITE NONSENSE IS THIS!"

But there was no one to answer. It's was 8:30 pm and Jonathan wasn't in his room. She had never seen his room so empty. There was no Jonathan to illuminate it nor any lights. It was now a dull lit room with spray painted gray walls covered with Pokémon posters and art. Note that when said art it wasn't Picasso or DiVinci, it was crappy drawing made by 5 year old Jonathan.

Rona concluded that something wicked was going on in Jonathan's house. She was right, Jonathan had thrown a party. The party that everyone talked about for days in school. The party that Maia and Simon were trying to convince Rona to go. The party that was confirmed "Da bomb". Something wicked indeed, Rona thought.

She surveyed his house until her eyes landed on his front door. Bunch of girls drinking in front of his house before going in. Drinking something that wasn't exactly considered apple juice. There was a circle of some of the Lacrosse Team players who always wear their letterman jackets. There were two people with the Lacrosse team completing the circle. A brown haired boy with glasses that shielded his brown eyes and provided a better vision. And a girl with curly hair and bronze skin of a goddess. No way! Rona screamed inside her head.

Simon and Maia stood on the front steps of Jonathan Morgenstern's house. They weren't doing inventory or Jewish Stuff, they were on the front steps of Jonathan's house. They ditched Rona to go to a party. Our first party will be together, they said, Rona cursed in her head, now that they had been given the opportunity they ditched me. Did they think Rona won't find out that they went to a party, not just any party but her neighbor's party. This is betrayal! This is Sparta! She had no choice but to go over there and catch them red (solo cup) handed.
