I wake up to my alarm going off and for a brief second everything feels nice, like it was just a normal Sunday. Then it all hits me like a sack of potatoes. Not only was it already ten in the morning, but I looked like a mess, I was tired and-
My train of thought stops as I hear my phone buzz from a few feet away. I had left it on my dresser when I got home and I guess I forgot about it. Oh crap! Zane, he's princely been texting me all morning. I hop out of bed to check my phone and sure enough I have four text from Zane and one from Aphmau.
I decide to reply to Aphmau's first since there's only one text from her.Aphmau: Hey, what are you up to today?
Allison: Well, and please don't ask, but somehow I've ended up going on a fake date with Zane and his mom. Like I said, don't ask. I'll fill you in later.
Just reading my own text made me feel like crawling right back into my bed and never coming out, but Zane was counting on me. I switch to my texts from Zane while I wait for Aphmau to reply. Though I hope she doesn't reply till I'm at the mall so I don't have to deal with explaining till later.
Zane: Hey, I'm sorry about earlier, and you didn't have to do what you did but I guess we're stuck in this together now.
Zane: I found out my mom's taking us to the mall. So you can dress casual. Again, sorry about all this.
Zane: My mom said that we'll meet you at the mall around eleven-thirty this afternoon.
Zane: Sorry if I'm bugging you, it's just you haven't replied and I wanted to make sure you were getting all the information.
For some reason this makes me laugh. He never seemed like the person to text you four times to make sure you knew what was going on. He also didn't want me to have his number in the first place.
Allison: Thanks Zane, sorry I haven't replied for a while I slept in this morning. Also, it's fine but in glad we're going to the mall and not some fancy restaurant, haha.
Once it's sent I sit my phone back on my dresser and search for an outfit to wear. I finally find an outfit I feel confident wearing. A pair of blue jean capris, a tank top that read "sun kissed" with a sunset on it and the number 86 at the bottom. I never liked werewolf clothes. The ears I don't mind but the tail is the worst I swear. I finally get my shirt and capris on and look at my jewelry. Do I really want to deal with earrings today. No, not today.
I run a brush through my hair and try to avoid my ears because hitting werewolf ears with the bristles of a hairbrush is not fun. Once I'm done I smooth out my ears and tail. Sometimes even I couldn't handle how fluffy they were. I didn't have time for that now though.
I put on some natural looking makeup since I don't really have time for much else. I slip on a pair of sandals that have small rose gold feathers around the ankle area. I toss my sunglasses, phone and wallet in my bag. I decide to put my earbuds in there just in case even though I most likely won't need them.
I walk downstairs and see my mom just walking into the house. This surprised me as she wasn't usually home at this time. "Hey honey, where are you off to?" She asks and I rub the back of my neck. Why was I so nervous. "I'm going to hang out with a friend." I say hoping she doesn't ask any further questions, I don't get my wish. She raises an eyebrow curiously, "Who is this friend?" She asks taking a drink of her coffee. She always had coffee.
"He's just one of my friends mom, now I've got to go." I say and she looks at me a little concerned. "He? Honey you remember what happened with-" I cut her off by putting up my hand. "I remember mom, I promised that wouldn't happen again." "I know honey, I just don't want you to get hurt, or for him to get hurt." She says her voice sounded almost sad but I ignore her for now and close the door behind me.
