Aj Mitchell: school crush

Scarlet's pov:
I was walking down the school hallway. Like always, the same group decides to pick on me for no reason. I'm used to it by now, of course their words hurt, though you just learn to block out their words. You hated school. You weren't good at any subject except for chorus. You absolutely dreaded every part of the day. You were constantly made fun of for being "weird" and left with no friends.
After you grab your books from your locker, you see an unfamiliar face desperately trying to unlock his locker.
I smiled kindly,"Need help?", i questioned.
The boy was gorgeous with dark, chocolate brown hair and sweet brown eyes.
"Uh, if you don't mind", he replies with an akward smile.
"I'm Scarlet" I reach my hand out for his.
"Aj" he grips it firmly and shakes it.
I unlock his locker and he thanks me.
Just as i'm about to turn away, he spoke up," do you mind showing me around here... i'm new and don't even know where my classes are".
I shot him a warm smile," of course!" i exclaimed.
He handed me his schedule as we walked down the long hall.
"great! We have all the same classes!" i mention.
"Cool, thanks again for helping me out."
"anytime. Do you want to sit next to me? There's an open seat back there."
"yeah, sure."
We sat down and the teacher was droning on about some math expression we were supposed to learn in middle school.
After the bell rang Aj and i made our way to our second class.
This was the worst period due to the 'group' that sat behind me, never leaving me alone. I pretend to ignore them and continue to talk to Aj.
"Oh look, the nobody does speak. I thought you had no friends." Chloe, the queen bee shoots at me.
Aj has a confused expression on his face, while i just glare at her.
"Yeah. Um surprise! If you'll excuse me, i was kinda in the middle of the conversation." i spoke with confidence.
She smirked.
"You mean this hottie. He's just new, he doesn't know about you and your lack of friends. Thats why no one talks to you."
"Chloe, please just leave me alone." i warn.
"i don't care what you say, nor does anyone else at this school. Its all against one." she threatened.
I roll my eyes.
Aj cleared his throat.
"Actually its against two." he said with a pearly smile.
"whatever. No one likes you anyways." she tried to reason.
Aj cleared his throat again.
"Well i do, okay? Can you stop annoying us now." he said.
wow.
no one stood up to the queen bee like that.
it especially never worked, either.
all Chloe did was roll her eyes and make her way to her seat.
We high-fived eachother and chuckled.
This was the start of a good friendship, i thought.
*Time skip*
It was the last class of the day; chorus.
It was my favorite class and might i say, i am quite good at singing.
I showed Aj to our seats and we began.
It was a chill day, so we pretty much just got in groups and would do riff-offs or practice a piece.
Aj started to sing and it was the most amazing thing that i have ever heard. Every moment i looked at him, i started to get lost. He was so perfect.
a month has passed and you two were best friends. He just promposed to you and you of course said yes! you were so happy.
this could be the start of a really cute relationship,i thought...
