Alex Lange: blind date

"Stella!", a beautiful face called out. I turned around at my name being called. "Hey", i spoke nervously looking down at the sand below me. He put his finger under my chin, forcing me to get lost in his eyes. I felt a burning from my cheeks as i turned away. He intertwined his fingers with mine and placed a quick kiss on my cheek. I smiled at the contact. His lips barely touched my flesh, causing a tingling sensation on my face. He pulled away and looked into my eyes intensely, as if i was the only thing in this world. "Will you be my girlfriend?" he asked. I rubbed my thumb up and down his hand and shot a toothy grin. "Of course!" i replied.
He leaned in. We were centimeters away when a ball suddenly bounced on my head. I groaned. Then laughed. He joined my fit as well.
I love that laugh.
I thought.
"uh thanks", he spoke with a tinge of red on his cheeks.
oops.
"i said that out loud, didn't i?" i questioned out of embarrassment.
he chuckled.
"It's okay, yours is just as adorable." he complimented.
"Now, where were we?" he questioned with a devilish smirk.
I leaned in. He closed the gap.
"Get up Stella, how many times do i have to repeat myself!" my mother exclaimed.
I groaned.
"fine", i gave in and got ready.
Alex was your best friend, though you had always had feelings for him.
Alex texted me;
A: i have a blind date set up for you. He will be there at 12.
Y: what?!
Y: you know i don't want to date
A: Why not?
Y: because there's someon i like.
A: ok but he's still coming. You can't cancel on him. He sounded so excited.
Y: fine but just this once.
A: i promise. You don't have to date him after, but I think you'll like him, though.
Y: okay what is he like?
A: You'll see.
Y: *eyerolls*
A: ha. i have to go, but have fun!
Y: whatever.
you set your phone down, gasping at the time. You had thirty minutes to get ready, so that's what you did.Nothing outrageous, just simple makeup, hair, and outfit.
*ding dong*
I opened the door, not looking at the person yet.
"come in! i have to put my shoes on, but i'll be right back." i said.
I put my shoes on and looked up.
"Alex?"
"Stella?" he mocked.
I hit him playfully, rollig my eyes.
"what are you doing here? i have a date like any minute." i reminded.
"what if i told you he's already here", he spoke.
My jaw dropped when Alex had a rose in his hand. He gave it to me and i gladly accepted it.
"wow, i'm really oblivious", i mentioned.
he chuckled.
"i guess so." he admitted.
"i love that laugh" i said outloud. Then blushed and covered my hand to my mouth.
"thanks", he gave me a dazzling smile.
I smiled and we went on our first date.
we've been dating for two years now and we both couldn't be happier.
