Tristan Tales: makeup

y/n pov:
i was taking a shower and started to get ready for my date with Tristan in an hour.

i was searching around frantically for my makeup bag.

this is not happening

i recited to myself over and over.

i could've sworn it was always on the countertop of my vanity next to my hair products.

my thoughts were interrupted by my boyfriend of two years walking in. it was pretty normal, since we did share an apartment, after all.

Tristan seemed to noticed my expression and asked me what was wrong.

"i'm just really confused to where my makeup is. it's always just sat there on the counter and i'm just stressed out because we don't have much time before we have to leave!" i ranted, yet he still listened to every word that came out of my mouth.

"if you're concerned about the time, why don't we just leave now?" he questioned.

i laughed and gave him a look like 'are you crazy?', yet he just tilted his head in confusion.

"Tris, i can't go out without it, babe" i looked in his eyes.

he just stared into mine, still confused.

"but babe, you don't need it. your so beautiful like that" he said with a warm smile.

i smiled at him,"you wouldn't be embarrassed?"

his smile quickly turned into a frown.

"you are so gorgeous just the way you are. it makes me sad that you would ever think that. y/n i think you are just as stunning without makeup as you are without it" he took my hand in his, not breaking our gazes.

i know it sounds silly, but my heart fluttered with happiness.

i gave him a sweet kiss and he made his way out of the bathroom and i did some final touchups.

i stepped out of the door and was met with my boyfriends face that was in shock, jaw almost touching the floor.

i blushed to myself and thought how lucky i was to be so deeply in love with this person that makes me feel so special.

that night was my favorite dinner date we've been on and i felt the most confident i had in years, all thanks to Tristan.

It's the little things that make everything better.
