"Go make some friends or you can sit in your room without dinner tonight," that's all Mother had to say to me as a punishment. So that's what I did. I went next door and rung the door bell.
Apparently the neighbors just moved in. "Isabelle and Gabby? What are you doing here?!" I was so surprised to see my two friends from school. "I'm helping Isie move in!" Gabby replied. I smiled broadly. How can this day get better?
I handed Isie the brownies mom made. "How about a sleepover?" Gabby suggested. "I'm in." Isie replied. I nodded then shook my head. Mom will never let me after what 'I did'. "Sorry I'm grounded," I mumbled.
Gabby and Isie looked confused. "You never get grounded," Isie pointed out. Gabby nodded, "What for?" I remembered the whole thing, playing the scene over again in my head. Then I got angry. I pointed my nose in the air and puffed a huge breath.
"Colby. All Colby's fault!" I said, still huffing and puffing. Gabby and Isie glanced at me then each other. "Colby?" Isie asked. "You mean that jerk from last year?" Gabby commented. Isie rolled her eyes and Gabby just shrugged.
"Yup," I replied taking in what she said. "I need a favor girls," I asked politely. I had Isie's full attention. "I need ideas," I started. "Hmm?" Gabby cut in. I turned away and smiled evilly. "Ideas on how to get back on innocent Colby."
