Chapter 46: The Hostess Gets to Work!

It was officially study time. Hiromi and Haruhi spread their study assignments all over the floor neatly. Rei had eventually mustered up the courage to accept Hiromi's offer to study with them. Soon after setting everything up the orange haired twins showed up.

"Hey!" Hiromi smiled to them.

"Do we have to study?" Hikaru asked as they walked in.

"Yes." Hiromi nodded. "And Haruhi doesn't mess around when it comes to studying so don't try to avoid it." Hiromi said as she lifted her eyebrow and ruffled his hair.

"Fine." Hikaru sighed.

"What about you?" Hiromi asked looking to Kaoru with her arms crossed.

"I need to study so I'm not going to complain." He smiled.

"Good." She smiled as she ruffled his hair. "The study stuff is in our room so you can head in there." She said as they walked towards it. Hiromi heard the door again and opened it to see Rei.

"Hey Rei!" She smiled. "We already have our stuff ready in the back of you want to go."

"Okay. Thank you again for having me." She smiled lightly as she held on to her book bag.

"It's no problem." Hiromi smiled as she walked to the back with Rei. Everyone looked to Rei.

"Oh um, hello my name is Rei Kinoshita." She bowed. "It's nice to meet you all."

"Rei is in class B and she is hoping to get her grades up to be part of class A." Hiromi explained as she sat down and Rei sat next to her and put her bag down.

"So you are doing extra studying?" Kaoru asked looking to Rei as the girl looked up to him, her eyes widening.

"Oh- I- uh yes. I want to be in the higher class so I have a better chance of passing to better colleges." She answered looking down.

Kaoru let out a soft laugh. "That's a smart idea." He smiled to her.

"Thank you." She bowed lightly. "I don't mean to be rude but are you Kaoru or Hikaru?" She asked looking to him.

"I'm Kaoru." He said looking to her. "It's nice to meet you Kinoshita." He said with a nod.

"You can call me Rei." She said looking down. Hiromi noticed a blush on the girls face. She looked at her with a blank face. Does she- No she probably doesn't, Hiromi thought as she took out a study sheet.

"Um, we should start with math." She said looking to Haruhi.

"That's the hardest for me. Let's start." Haruhi said determined. Hiromi was never the one to like studying but Haruhi did it as a hobby. They all started studying until it was around lunchtime. Haruhi decided to cook for all of them and the rest sat around the room talking.

"We'll do good, I know it." Hiromi smiled.

"With the study plan you and Haruhi made there's no way we wouldn't." Kaoru answered.

"Being on top of the studying helps our grades and we need them high." She responded.

"Studying is so boring. I wouldn't be able to make a study planner. I probably even wouldn't have studied if it wasn't for Kaoru asking." Hikaru admitted as her out a sigh.
