Chapter 48: The Case of the Jealous Brother!

Hiromi was walking with Haruhi to class when they saw Kaoru and Hikaru talking to Rei.

"Oh look Rei's here." Hiromi smiled to Haruhi.
As they got closer it was more just Rei and Kaoru talking. Hiromi looked at them and didn't know what to think. She had a blank face.

"You okay?" Haruhi asked her sister.

"Yeah I'm fine." She walked over and put on a bright smile. Haruhi could tell Hiromi was hurt. But she also had the feeling that Hiromi didn't really want to feel that way. "Hey guys." Hiromi said looking to them.

"Hey Hiromi." Hikaru said with a bit of annoyance.

"What's wrong?" Hiromi asked looking to him with her eyebrows raised.

"Flirty one and flirty two over here." He said looking to his brother and Rei as Hiromi turned to them too.

Hiromi kind of wanted to do two things. Hit someone and cry, but she had no reason to feel that way. She put it in the back of her mind and smiled. "You should be happy for Kaoru." Hiromi said to him as Kaoru looked to Hiromi surprised. "Rei is really nice and I think they would be good for each other." Hiromi said looking at Rei who smiled lightly with a blush across her face.

Kaoru looked to Hiromi with a surprised face. He thought that she still might've had feelings for him, but now he wasn't sure at all. He liked Rei and he wanted Hiromi out of his head. She already chose someone else.

"Really?" Hikaru asked looking at Hiromi.

"I'll hang out with you then if you are lonely." Hiromi said ruffling his hair. Hikaru shrugged as the bell rang.

Hikaru was the most confused. He knew Kaoru still liked Hiromi and he also knew Kaoru wasn't the type of person to use other people like that. He assumed Kaoru maybe just liked two people at once.

They went into class and they got to study since the teacher had finished everything they need to teach. The exams were the day after so they were ready to take them all. Hiromi had everything prepared already and she didn't want to jinx herself so she just sketched instead.

After a while the lunch bell rang. Hiromi grabbed out her lunch and headed to eat. Rei sat with the sets of twins.

"Where is Kumiko and Hanna?" Hiromi asked looking at her.

"They are studying." She answered.

"I thought they didn't study?" She asked confused.

"They might not care about studying at first but now they get super anxious and study as much as they can." Rei answered quietly looking at Hiromi.

"That makes sense." Hiromi nodded looking to her.

Hiromi ate her food as Rei talked to Kaoru and Hikaru. Hikaru had started talking with them after Hiromi pointed out that he should. Haruhi talked as well. Hiromi felt weird watching all of it happen. She just nodded and smiled. She didn't like the feeling. She was acting how she did before she met everyone.

Her phone buzzed and she pulled it out to see Kyoya sent a text. Want to meet me in the host club?, she read in her head. She texted back 'I'll be there soon.' and looked to her food starting to clean up. She had about fifteen minutes left of lunch.
