Their plane had flown in to an unusual storm pattern and it seemed to go for miles as they were stuck in one of the bands, turbulence they've never experienced before and bolt after bolt of lightning, things falling out of their secured spaces.
Lindsey pulled Stevie towards a seat and strapped her in as he then strapped himself, she screamed for her dog that was not budging from under the bed in the back room, tears streaming down her porcelain face.
It seemed to be that the farther in to the storm they flew the more electricity they'd lose, it being impossible for the pilot to explain anything that was going on, only able to figure out a safe place to land until it blew over; it was the large island that sat in the middle of the storm that took his attention. They'd have to land or crash and he was not about to crash the plane with five legendary rock stars.
Everyone in the cabin screamed in terror and Christine started to go in to shock, John holding on to her tightly to keep her from losing it, keeping themselves still against the back of their seats.
"I love you and I've never stopped, Lindsey," Stevie began to ramble and sob; she felt the need to express herself in a time like this, she figured this would now be her only chance. "I'm sorry that I left you, sorry that I could never be the perfect woman for you! I wanted nothing but to be your woman and now it's too late, too late to make it work - I wanted it to work and I never wanted to tell you no, I want you to want me and I want you to leave your wife with out me asking for it!"
He swayed from side to side in his seat as he gripped to the armrests and not believing a word she'd just said, they were facing death and she was spilling her deepest secrets that only her journal could ever know, reaching for the back of her head to sloppily kiss her. "It was always you!" Lindsey said over the loud engine that was struggling to keep them in air with tears flowing down his face. "I never wanted this life, never wanted to be a family with anyone but you! I regret my marriage every single day and when I see you it's worse! I love you and it's all true, I've lied to you and myself but I won't die with out telling you! You're my one and only love and I pray that I meet you on the other side," pressing his forehead to hers before everything went black.
With how the plane had landed with a struck of good luck they were pressed up against a sanddune, several minutes passing before everyone slowly began to realize what had actually happened; Mick was breathing heavily and slouched against his seat, John was checking over Christine protectively as she couldn't speak, both Stevie and Lindsey having collided skulls with blood dripping from the corners of their heads. She was still out cold the moment he came to and reached for her limp wrist to check for pulse.
"Stevie? Steph?" Lindsey held on to her hand tightly, nudging her with his shoulder.
"Please tell me that she is alive," cried Karen.
"She's alive," he turned his head to speak to the assistant.
"Hands, I need to see everyone's hands!" Mick spoke. "Is everyone okay? Does anyone need medical assistance?"
Slowly but surely everyone responded but Stevie was still out cold, Lindsey having to splash some water on to her face to get her to come to; if she had a brain injury then allowing her to sleep could be more damage done.
Stevie's eyes opened as she gasped and returned to screaming, holding on to the armrests until her knuckles turned white, Lindsey having to keep her still as he wrapped both arms around her. "Shhh...Shhh, it's okay - it's okay, Stevie! We're okay, we had a rough landing but we are okay," taking her red face with his hands as she met his stare only to cry. "It's all over now, it's all over."
"Is everyone else okay?" whispered Stevie and looking up at him with an innocence he hasn't seen in years.
"We're okay, they're okay - everyone is shook up but we're alive and that's what matters."
