Waking up in her own sweat Stevie scrunched up her face to find distaste in her current condition, the plane had grown so hot and humid from lack of air that it became a sauna. She quickly headed out of the bedroom and to the small bathroom that included a shower where Mick once again grew testy about water usage.
"Stevie if you use the bathroom then please don't flush or use the sink."
"What?" she questioned his request with out really thinking.
"I know it sounds terrible but we have to conserve the water that is still available on the plane, so no flushing or showering even."
"Oh Mick - that is impossible! I'm soaking wet just from sleeping!"
"I know love and I am sorry but we've got to do what we can to survive right now, we've got an ocean all around us."
"Mick, are you honestly telling me that I have to bathe in the ocean?" Stevie raised a hand and aruged.
"Like I told Lindsey, this is not a five star hotel."
"How can I bathe out there with those natives? What if there are other people on this island?!" hands on her hips.
"We'll figure it out but please whatever you do - do not use our water supply."
"Dammit Mick!" she cursed and let her eyes wander about the plane. "Where is Lindsey?"
"Outside in a tent somewhere - God only knows!" Mick rolled his eyes and threw his hands up in to the air.
"Excuse me? Did I just hear that Lindsey left the plane?"
"Yes Stevie, Lindsey found some survival tools inside the overhead bins."
"That bastard, telling me that he would not leave this plane with out my approval," saying underneath her breath.
"I'm afraid that Lindsey is not one to live up to his promises," Mick stated.
"It's hotter than hell in here, I don't know how any of you are handling this," Stevie grew irritable and grabbed one of Karen's magazines to fan herself. "This isn't going to work for me."
"Then be my guest to follow Buckingham out to his lack of luxury outside."
Being outside was the last place that Stevie wanted to be but after a few mintues she decided the heat was too much as she let the cool ocean breeze hit her skin, it felt so refreshing after being inside that sardine can of a plane! She was hesitant as she began to walk around and feared the natives, cautiously searching for Lindsey as the water then looked entirely inviting; Stevie wondered if Lindsey had swam in it yet or if that was what he was doing right now. His tent was at the tail end of the plane and she went to investigate after seeing no sign of him in the water, unzipping the tent and finding him half naked inside sleeping on his back. At first she was going to scold him for leaving the plane in the first place but then as her eyes wandered across his body she felt her feelings softening, entering the tent and zipping it back up to join him, gently laying a hand to his chest as she made small circles with her fingers. How could she wake him and bring more drama in to this relationship than there already was? They had no clue to where they were and their rock star lives had been turned upside down as if homeless bums.
"Oh Lindsey, bring me home."
An hour later Lindsey woke to the grumble of thunder and the stir of someone's body at his side, turning his head to realize Stevie was laying next to him and sleeping comfortably. He wondered how long she'd been there and what had brought her inside, his right hand raised to reach over and remove a piece of hair that'd stuck to her lips, using his rough fingertips to graze her cheek. This woman was absolutely beautiful and his eyes couldn't even let themselves blink in case he missed something that made him fall deeper in to love.
