"It's been 3 weeks now since my first arrival at the island and let me tell you it's been a little tiny bit strange. Blood in the shallows appeared yet no one got hurt, one night didn't seem to end until someone said ''I'm tired'', and a fire broke out in the village but hurt no one or damaged anything. People in the village have been giving me strange looks like I'm a monster or something.... I have a feeling something fishy is going on and I think some people in the village are putting the blame on me. Like if I just walk into the village, people will turn away from me, mothers with children bring them closer to them, and I have a clear path always if lots of people are around. Even my new best friend Caspian will sometimes not approach me. Well, he talks to me more than anyone else except my grandma. Grandma has always been asking me if everything is alright or if something is going wrong or whatever and I have to admit it's kind of freaking me out the way that the whole island is being strange. Signing out,
Akela" I wrote in my diary. I sigh. What is wrong with this island. This doesn't make any sense. It was getting late so i put away my diary by the side of my bed and turned out the lights. My thoughts crowded my brain as I tried to fall asleep. I cleared my mind as best as I could and drifted off into sleep.
I jolted awake as the windows flew open to let in a cold wind. Jeez I nearly had a heart attack, I thought. I got up from my bed to close the windows and I saw something in the distance. It was in the center of the village and it looked like a little speck of light. I came out of my room to tell grandma what I saw, but I couldn't find her. "Grandma? Grandma where are you?!" I sprinted out the house, the door ajar running to the village to see if anyone knows where she went. Running fast I tripped over a root of a tree. "Ouch!" Collecting myself, I see multiple trails of footprints in the sand. I get up and start following the trail. I walk waking sure to keep the footprints in sight. I see a light in the distance but the footprints cut off here. As I start approaching the light I start to see shadows and people around a huge fire. Grandma is standing amongst the figures, making me feel better. But I start to get uncomfortable soon when I see they are all wearing some tribal clothing and they have spears and other weapons for some reason. I see the whole village there. Everyone. I see the man that walked with my grandma when I arrived at the island. Everyone is talking to each other and I can hear it from where I am. "What are they going to do to the new girl mommy?" A little girl said. "I don't know, but it probably won't be good" her mother replied. Their talking about me? Why? What does this gathering have anything to do with me, if I wasn't aware this was even happening. But what happened next answered all my questions.

What will happen to Akela? What is the village doing? Read to find out!!!! Thanks for reading!
