"Sorry 'bout the bite." Sirius apologized. "I reckon that hurts a bit?"

"A bit? A bit?" Ron whimpered. "You almost tore my leg off."

Sirius and Harry were helping Ron walk back down the path.

"I was going for the rat," Sirius explained. "Normally, I have a very sweet disposition as a dog. In fact, more than once, James suggested that I make the change permanent. The tail I could live with. The fleas, they murder."

Autumn and Hermione followed behind the three closely. As soon as they made it out of the tunnel and under the three, Sirius and Harry let Ron sit on the trunk of the tree.

Autumn bent down near Ron's hurt leg and lifted the bottom of his pants to look at the injury. "How much does it hurt?"

"A bloody lot." Ron grumbled.

Autumn took off her jacket and wrapped it around Ron's leg. She hadn't even noticed Sirius had left until Harry walked towards him.

"Do you think he's going to be alright?" Autumn asked as she tied the knot around the bite.

Ron groaned.

"Oh, don't be such a baby." Autumn scolded. "This will help until Madam Pomfrey will get to it."

The familiar weak-sounding man and Lupin crawled up from the tunnel.

"No, please don't. Ron! I was a good friend; a good pet! You won't let them give me to the dementors, will you? I was your rat!" He turned to face Hermione. "You! You sweet girl, you clever girl! You won't let them—"

Autumn stood up, glaring at Pettigrew. Lupin then took him away in the moonlight.

"Wait a minute." Autumn began. "If Lupin's a werewolf, then has he taken his Wolfsbane yet?"

Hermione looked at Autumn with confusion.

"Wolfsbane, the potion that helps Lupin. I saw it when we were making the Polyjuice Potion." Autumn explained.

"Tonight's a full moon," Hermione spoke softly.

"Harry!" Autumn jumped up, and pointed to Lupin.

Harry and Sirius quickly turned to see Lupin, slowly get hit by the moonlight.

Sirius ran towards Lupin. "Remus, my old friend. Have you taken your potion tonight?"

Lupin turned a grey color, his teeth sharpening and his eyes turning sickly and vicious. Lupin started groaning and grunting due to the change. Autumn quickly grabbed Ron and helped him stand, as did Hermione.

Sirius kept trying to calm Lupin down. "You know the man you truly are, Remus! Right here, in  your heart!"

Autumn couldn't help but to keep looking.

Lupin dropped his wand and Pettigrew was quick to pick it up.

"Expelliarmus," Harry said immediately.

The wand from Pettigrew's hand flew away, but he kept grinning. He waved creepily, then turned into a rat, leaving his clothes behind.

Harry began to run after him, but Hermione grabbed him. "Harry!" She said.

Autumn looked at Lupin again. His nails were turning sharper and darker, and his moans turned into growls as he howled in the moonlight.

"Run!" Sirius yelled at the four. "Run!" But Sirius was thrown down the hill by Lupin, who was now a full werewolf.

"Come on, let's go." Harry said, looking determined.

"Wait! Wait." Autumn said, letting go of Ron.
