Some things are easier said than done - grinning and baring it was one of them.

Everyday, someone would try an coax out of me how I felt about certain things; mainly, though, it was about Brooklyn Gibson.

Everyday, Leila would remind me of the fact that she knew Rye.

Everyday, I believed Leila less and less.

But things change.

Today was no exception.

Sitting down into my seat for English lit, none other than Rye walked straight in as though he was Jesus - he even had the bloody nerve to flip his hair backwards and sit at the front of the room, forcing the teacher to vacate their desk as Rye was lounging all over it - his legs sprawled open, revealing a bulge that could only have been his-

Never mind.

His eyes bore into me, accusing me and making me want to sink through the floor. Leila had been telling the truth all along.
