Ch 6:
~3rd Person POV~
The Busy Bean Café. Seaview, Connecticut. Tuesday, September 3rd. 11:45am
"He's 5 minutes late. I gave an order to meet at 11:40 and it's now 11:45! Who does this bloke think he is?!" T.J rants to himself as Daxon sits patiently in the seat next to him.
"He knows you wouldn't have called him here unless you wanted something." Daxon sits down the menu then waves down the barista who eagerly comes over to take their orders.
"What will it be boys?" She asks, never taking her eyes off of Daxon.
"I'll have an iced black coffee and a chicken panini."
"Just a chai tea for me." T.J adds handing the menu over to the barista who nods and walks off.
"You're not eating?" Daxon asks.
"No because I don't plan on staying here for our whole lunch period. If Baylor isn't here in the next 5_"
"_So I guess the English aren't into being fashionably late?" T.J and Daxon look over to the double door entrance to the Busy Bean to see Carson Baylor striding in with his entourage in tow.
He casually made his way over to their table, pulling out the chair and leaning back with grace. Travis Chu, Carson's second in command went to sit down in the other chair but Daxon quickly put his feet up.
"This is a matter involving Baylor only." T.J waves off Travis who looks to Carson for approval.
Carson eyes T.J and then Daxon before nodding in agreement.
"It's cool. I'll meet you in the café in a little. Take Jackson with you." Carson says in his usual carefree manner making T.J ball his fists.
Being from the west coast, Carson Baylor possessed this unattainable chill demeanor. It irritated T.J because the blonde surfer boy barely took any recognition to the fact that he'd be leading the school next year. He was just lucky people adored him for his looks and charm.
"A matter only involving me. I'm intrigued." Carson leans back in his chair and picks up the menu displaying the drinks.
Daxon fought the urge to chuckle at how annoyed T.J was getting but composed himself when Carson's light blue eyes left the menu and finally met T.J.
"For now we'd like to keep this private. Only on a need to know basis." T.J remarks and Carson nods seeming to be in thought.
"This should be good."
"As being head of the senior Court of the school there is a certain reputation one must uphold and we be_"
"We want you to denounce Kendall and her group." Daxon says simply cutting off whatever long winded lecture T.J was going to lay on the poor kid.
T.J gives Daxon a look of warning before glaring back at Carson who seems to have burst into hysterics. After what felt like an eternity, Carson settled down running his hand through his perfectly quaffed blond surfer boy hair.
Daxon was amused by his response but T. J's patience seemed to be thinning.
"Are you done?" He asks.
Carson wipes a stray tear from his eye and nods. "Yes. Sorry I needed a minute because what you're asking is insane." Carson's go lucky smile had fallen and was replaced by an unfamiliar grimace.
