3rd Person POV
Rothwell Private Academy Boarding School. Main campus. Thursday, September 5th. 6:05pm
"Daxon! Daxon! Hey!" Daxon hears the all too familiar girlish shriek coming from behind him but refuses to turn around as he turns up the music on his phone and proceeds walking towards the school's library.
He had way too much to do this evening and getting bitched out by her was not on his agenda.
He switched out of the music app and checked on his daily calendar. After classes were finished he had soccer practice for two hours, then he had approximately 33 minutes to shower, eat, and relax after getting back to his room. After attempting to look presentable he was to meet with the spawn of Satan herself, Ava St. Xavier for their ridiculous school project. If everything went accordingly and they finished the first part of their project early he may just have 20 minutes to himself to finish his AP German homework before having to meet with the juniors to discuss everyone's role in the Back to School Bonfire. Thanks again, T.J De la Pole.
"Hey!" Daxon was pulled out of his mental checklist and was forcefully whirled around to come face to face with a furious Selena Martinez.
This will not doubt put a damper on my schedule, he thought.
"You!" Selena points a finger in his direction and Daxon sighs running a hand through his perfectly fluffed post shower hair.
"Yes Sel, it's me. Listen I know you probably want to tell me off and while I think you have no right to because what happened between us a few days ago was solely brought on by you I have a lot going on today and don't have time for it. So, I'll sum up things for the both of us. Yes, we slept together and no I haven't returned the hundreds of texts, calls, snapchats, and dms you sent me. Why? Because I have no interest in ever hooking up with or talking to you again. The only reason I slept with you the other day was because I needed something to lighten my mood. So, thanks for that." Daxon gave off his winning smile after he finished his monologue and watched with no surprise when Selena's expression turned to anger, then to shock, and then to despair. Her dark eyes filled with tears as she choked back a sob from the back of her throat trying to get the words out to most likely yell at Daxon but she didn't seem to have it in her.
Daxon simply patted her on the shoulder. "Right. Well, have a nice life." And with that he turned on his heel, turned up the music on his phone once more and finished his walk to the library.
The Rothwell Academy library was massive with 4 floors and walls and ceiling that were entirely made of glass.
Since it was nearing dusk the sun was slowly setting and from the 4th floor the lucky students who decided to study there had a perfect view of the magnificent colors that illuminated the sky. Daxon quickly climbed the vast number of stairs to meet Ava on the 4th floor study lounge like they regrettably discussed earlier in class.
Once he reached the top floor it wasn't hard to spot her. She sat in a plush red tub chair in a pair of daisy dukes and a basic black tank top with her bejeweled sandal clad feet propped lazily up on a coffee table in front of her. Unlike the other students who were sitting on the floor with their heads stuck in books or typing a way on their laptops, Ava was simply scrolling through her I-phone and sipping on an Iced coffee.
"You're late." Ava remarked, not even bothering to look up at Daxon as he approached.
Daxon tossed his backpack on the coffee table and plopped down in the identical chair beside her, kicking his feet up as well.
