READER'S POV

I ran and ran to Yui's room and I barged in without knocking. I looked around and she wasn't in her room.

"*Pant, pant* she's not here."

I mumbled while panting for breath. I then headed back to my room and I grabbed one of my swords because I knew that my bullets won't be enough to stop this Ritcher person. Shu teleported into my room and he spoke up.

"You do realise that none of your guns or swords are made of silver, they won't be enough to kill our uncle."

"I'm already aware of this, however, if it doesn't kill Ritcher it just might as well slow him down at least besides, the only way to kill a vampire is to slice off their heads right?"

Shu looked at me with a smirk on his face.

"If that's cockiness coming from your mouth then that means Ayato's bad habits have rubbed off on you."

I glared at Shu when he said this and I pointed my sword at him.

"Watch it! Don't compare me with that damn Oreo!"

"I'm just saying, anyway, I've just seen Ritcher and Yui in the living room if you hurry now you might be able to catch them."

Shu says as he offered his hand. I sheathed my sword and I took Shu's hand and he teleports us to the living room where Ritcher and Cordelia are.

MEANWHILE...

REIJI'S POV

I got to the living room where I've been sensing Cordelia and Uncle Ritcher. Cordelia smiled at me and she spoke up.

"It's been a long time, Reiji. If only you weren't so stiff, you would look just like Karl from back when I first met him."

"Please do not needlessly invoke my Father's name."

I gently pushed my glasses before speaking up again.

"I find it seriously offensive."

Cordelia smirks at me evilly,

"Don't be so standoffish, come closer."

I teleported to the balcony and I spoke up again.

"It is apparent that scheming comes as naturally as breathing to you."

"Reiji, must I explain? I want to stay vibrant as long as I live."

Cordelia says as she puts down the glass of wine she was drinking on the table next to her before speaking up again.

"I will tell you what I despise most, boredom, boredom is the most painful thing immortals like ourselves can endure, wouldn't you agree?"

"Yes, you have a point, boredom doesn't suit you, death suits you much better."

Cordelia narrowed her eyes while having a smirk on her face.

"I will take that as a compliment, won't you sit over here? I would like to talk face to face."

Cordelia beckons me to come closer but I stood where I was before she spoke up again.

"What's this? are you being defensive? heh, in that respect, you're exactly like Beatrix, you suppress your emotions and try to hide how you feel. She ultimately met a useless, pathetic end."

I was angered by this but I did my best to suppress my emotions.

"Oh, my! did I touch a nerve? Beatrix didn't seem to love you as much as she loved Shu, her eldest son, so I assumed you wouldn't mind if I slandered her."
