You used to be a guard dog for an old man, but when he went into his car and never came back, you became a stray. You didn't attack people, you usually went to the local butcher store since the owner knew you very well. You still had your collar.

Today you were heading to get your Wednesday Porkchops when you heard meowing and barking. You turned your head and saw a cat getting picked on by three dogs. You growled before racing into the alley and jumping over the dogs. The cat lowered itself before you turned to the dogs.
"You better have a good reason for me NOT to tear you apart..." You growled at the leader, a large rottweiler, before the dog laughed. "Even the guard dog has no idea how to live!" You growled as you showed your teeth.
"Hey. Now, gentlepups, let's leave the lady alone." The leader mocked as he started to walk away. You took your chance and gave him a scratch to the side. He howled in pain as you stayed in front of the cat. You moved your head towards the exit as the leader growled. The three left before you relaxed.
"Hey, you ok?" You asked as you turned to the cat. "Y-yeah. That was really brave!" The cat replied. "Aw, it was nothing. You should see what I can do to robbers!" You said as you and the cat walked out of the alley. "Speaking of robbers, lunch?" The cat nodded happily before you showed him the butcher shop.
"Aw! Little lassie! How ya' doing girl?" You barked and wagged your tail before the cat showed himself. "Ah! A friend! MARK! WHERE'S THE SALMON?" You smiled before looking at the cat.
"I'm (y/n) by the way!"
"Im Gaster!"
~ Time Skip ~
You and Gaster have become close friends. A news crew even 'interviewed' you when some locals saw you playing. Today you and Gaster were resting under some trees when you saw two kids. "Mommy! Look its a puppy!" "Dont go near it! It's a Pitbull!"
Gaster looked at you when you sighed and laid your head on your paws. "(Y/n)?" Gaster said as he got up and walked up to your head. "I'm ok." You said as tears swelled up in your eyes. "You shouldn't listen to her, humans are weird." Gaster said as he laid by your nose.
"My human wasn't weird. He was cool, fun, and caring-" "Just like you!" You lifted your head as Gaster blushed deeply. "I-uh-I mean... um... continue...?" You smiled before gently licking Gaster's head. "Love ya too G." You said as you curled your head/neck around Gaster.
Gaster smiled before using your (color) collar's bandanna as a blanket. You both napped for the rest of the day.
