Tyler ran away from everything he's ever known. In other words, he's what people would call: a runaway.
The boy was sitting in his run down hotel room that he payed for, for one night, mainly because that's all he could afford."I'm out of clothes," Tyler said talking to himself; he does that a lot more now that he's alone.
The tan boy quickly gathered his clothes into a small basket, and began heading to the laundry room where he thought no one would be considering it's two thirty in the morning. But, to his surprise, there was one person there. Tyler walked in completely ignoring the yellowed-haired man only pulling the strings on his hood tighter than before. He began throwing his laundry in and inserting the quarters into the machine.
"Hello?" The man said to Tyler trying to earn his attention, but the boy refused to turn around,"can you even hear me?"
"Yeah, I can, now leave me alone."
"Just trying to be nice."
"If you really want to be nice, leave me alone."
Tyler heard the man stand up and heard the sound of shoes clicking come close. Soon enough, he felt a presence stand beside of him.
"Can I see your face?" The man asked gently resting his arms on the dryer.
"No, you can now leave m-me alone."
"I'm, Josh, what's your name?"
"Look if your looking for sex it's not here," Tyler said turning around facing the man that's presumably named Josh.
"That's not what I was looking for," Josh said as he began to admire Tyler's features and how familiar they were,"why do I feel like I know you?"
"M-Maybe we went to high school together?" Tyler said as nervousness took over his body.
"Yeah!" Josh said getting excited about meeting an 'old friend',"Mark, right?"
"Sure," Tyler said needing to do anything to make the boy believe him.
"Well, Mark, your washing machine went off," Josh said as he walked over to it,"I got it don't worry, just think of it as a favor from an old friend."
"Thank you, Josh."
"So, I know this is sudden but, would you like to come back to my room to hang out for a little? I'd like to catch up."
"I'd love to, but it's late."
"It's obvious both of us aren't sleeping tonight anyways."
