Carina's P.O.V
It was late November and it was already utterly freezing. Today was the first task and we were being forced to sit outside and watch the champions battle dragons. It would have been fun if it weren't for the freezing temperatures outside. I was wrapped up in a black jacket that had been charmed to keep me warm but my nose still stung and had turned red from the cold.

All the Slytherins were seated in a group and I heard people making bets about who would win and I rolled my eyes when Draco bet 10 galleons on Potter losing.

The crowd was loud and rowdy as we waited for the champions to come out and face what was waiting for them. We however silenced when a very nervous looking Cedric Diggory stepped out. I heard gasps resonate throughout the crowd when he was confronted with a Swedish short-snout. Cedric looked scared but not surprised.

Draco and Blaise were watching the task intently but I grew bored after five minutes of nothing too terribly interesting happening.

I turned to see Daphne tangled in Blaise's arms and smiled to myself. They had started dating a week or so after the Halloween party and had become very serious very fast. I was happy for them, and not just because it had gotten the relationship rumors off of me and onto them.

Pansy was sitting as far away from Draco as possible. She had forgiven him for the girl on halloween, but he had hooked up with some Ravenclaw girl the other week and Pansy hadn't spoke to him since. Draco had told me that he was glad to be rid of her for a while, Pansy was terribly clingy and even I had to agree with him. However now that Pansy was off of him, she had taken to spending every possible second with me; which was rather irritating when I was trying to have a secret boyfriend. I decided that it was time to do something about it so I could get to spending more time with George.

"Pansy, what do you think of Marcus Flint?" Pansy looked up from sulking and met me with bewildered eyes.

"He's alright I guess, why do you like him?" She asked suddenly interested in me talking about my love life; it had been a topic I tried to avoid as of late.

"No, not like that at least. But I think you guys would be good together," Draco's head snapped up from looking over the railing and I smirked in triumph. Pansy may not have meant anything to Draco but he still felt a sense of ownership over her. It was fairly disgusting but he kept her around as a toy, and he reacted like a jealous child when someone tried to take away his toy.

Pansy looked unconvinced "Really?"

"Yes. think he's into you," I said which made Draco's cheeks turn red with anger.

"I mean he is kind of cute now that he got his teeth straightened,"

"You should ask him to Hogsmeade this weekend-"

"She can't," Draco cut me off suddenly and I had to try and suppress a smirk.

"And why can't she Draco?" I challenged.

"Because we were all going to Hogsmeade together this weekend. Remember?" I did not remember because it had never happened, I was certain of it. I knew he would make some lame excuse to get Pansy away from Flint.

"Now that you mention it I do recall. Are you still coming this weekend Pansy?"
Pansy had visibly brightened when Draco mentioned her.

"Yeah I guess I'll still go," she said trying and failing to hide her excitement at spending time with Draco.

As happy as I was to get Pansy off my back; this had demolished my plans with George this weekend. He was going to stop by Madame Puddifoots and bring back some tea and pastries, then we were going to hide out in the secret passageways under the school (He swore that only Potter, Fred, and him knew about them) and we would spend the day together. We had managed to come up with some rather entertaining date ideas despite not being able to go out in public.
