A new week meant a new school day. Thank god we were not learning anything about how to set up a fancy table when in reality I am not going to use it in the future. My parents do not even own some set of fine china around the house to be used in a fancy party. The school was preparing us as if we were going to meet the Queen of England and were going to have dinner with her.

As the class was about to start my classmates and I were walking over to the student kitchen where we learned how to make food which was quite interesting. So far we have cooked Italian food and Greek food. Hopefully today we learn how to make Chinese food.

As we were making our way to the kitchen I saw the black board that had a list of directions and different steps. I saw white bag of white sugar and flour on the table. Maybe we are going to be making some type of sugary treat? Right at the front of the kitchen door the blackboard in white chalk had written

As I was walking with the rest of the students in the class they were whispering and they glanced at my way. Here we go again. I would have thought by now people would stop looking at me now and see me everyday. I tried to ignore them as much as I could but I could feel their eyes on me.

Could someone say something to me?

My paranoia started to build again.

Just breathe, it's nothing. I reminded myself.

Do I have something on my face? Maybe I have something on my teeth. This felt just like the first day of school.

Keep calm. I thought to myself. Keep calm.

I tried to ignore it as best as I could but they are looking at me

I tried to ignore it as best as I could but they are looking at me. Looking to the front of the class, little Ms. Marie Antoinette Montgomery was giggling with her minions. And they weren't hiding that they were laughing at me. I didn't want to point fingers but she must have something with everyone looking at me. Oh she was trying so hard to not hide it. She was staring me down pointing at me but once we made eye contact she turned around.

How childish!

Just ignored it. If Mrs. Hathaway were to see this she would have reported it back to Dessen and he would explain to me be a good student and not to make any trouble. The usual.

Walking to the back of the room I grabbed one of the white aprons and tied on. I strolled back to the prepping table with more ingredients scattered around.

"Hey Eliz, do you have a partner?" Jeremiah gently bumps his shoulder on mine. He has a wide boyish smile. He held out the apron straps to help him tie it.

"Of course you can... can I ask you something?" I hesitated as I tied his apron's strings behind him.

"Sure what is it?" He turned around facing the table.
