I turned around and stormed out. How could he be saying such things on my wedding day?
- Flashback -
"Gee, you shouldn't be marrying Lindsey!" Mike yelled at me
"Well, why the hell not? It's my life!" I screamed back through gritted teeth
"Because you love Frank!" His eyes widened when he realised what he had just said
-End of flashback -
Mike ran after me. Out of my room and out of the building.
"Gee wait up!" He screamed, stumbling after me
"It doesn't matter, we're over" I sighed "he doesn't want me back"
Mike us eyes widened once again "yes he does!"
"Then why didn't he come after me? Or even contact me?" I questioned angrily
"Because, when you had that one night stand with Lindsey a few days after you two broke up, he saw you" Mike looked down at his shoes "he saw how happy you looked and didn't want to ruin that. That's why he left town" He looked back up at me "but he's back now"
I pushed him out of the way causing him to fall to the floor. I started running. I ignored my car and just ran.
When I finally reached my destination, I froze. I stared at the building. It looked so familiar yet so distant in my memory
Me and Frank only broke up 6 months ago but things moved quickly with Lindsey
She was supposed to be a one night stand. A rebound from Frank; but he left and she wouldn't
He's back in town though. At last.
I walked through the door at the side entrance and rook the elevator to the fifth floor. I sighed as the elevator doors sprang open to reveal the interior of the run down old building
I stepped out and walked hastily a log the corridor before reaching the light brown oak wood door with the number '47' nailed into it at the top. Once again I sighed before knocking
The door opened a few moments later and he appeared in front of me. His black hair sticking to his face from the hot weather. He looked as if he hadn't slept in weeks, months even! I looked him up and down in awe. The image of him I used to have was faint to sat the least
"Why are you here Gerard?" He asked quietly "aren't you supposed to be getting married"
I nodded "yes, I suppose I'm meant to be" I looked him in the eyes before carrying on "but I'm not"
"What do you want then?" He looked down, fiddling with his fingers
"I want you" he looked up, eyes wide
"But... what about Lindsey?"
"I never truly cared for her. Not like I care for you. She was a mistake" I replied placing my hand on his upper arm. Then I took my chance. I leaned in and kissed him softly.
When we parted, both gasping for air, Frank spoke up "I've missed you Gee, do much"
"I love you Frankie" I breathed out
"I love you too Gee"
