"Woah, Sky. Not very assertive today, huh? I saw you run into Liam with your coffee this morning. You're lucky neither of you were wearing that coffee in the end", McCarthy joked, showing off his perfect teeth that practically gleamed in the sunlight. He's so attractive I forgot that I was supposed to act like a civil human being and keep the conversation going, instead of just staring at his flawless bone structure.

"Oh, uh ya no that's me for ya", I laughed nervously, tucking some hair behind my ears as I looked down momentarily, "Clumsy as always."

"Ah, yes. So I've gathered", He chuckled, "Did you drive here? I'd love to take a look at your car. I've always been a fan of classic's. Classic cars, movies, music, I'm there."

If he keeps smiling at me like that, I'm gonna lose it.

"Uh, no sorry. Liam actually gave me a ride," McCarthy's smile faltered at that, "but next time I see you and I have my car I'll be sure to present that beauty to you. But, um, I actually have a love for classic's as well. I also like the classic novels. You know the ones they force you to read in high school that no one likes, but I secretly loved them and had to act like I hated it or else I would've been a geek..." I trailed off realizing I was anxiously rambling. "Sorry I'm talking a lot." I apologized quickly looking down and then anywhere but McCarthy's eyes. I'm not sure why, but I was a nervous wreck around him.

More of a nervous wreck than usual. I mean it's weird to have a stupid crush on your teacher, though he couldn't be any older than 25. I could feel his gaze burning on my face though. I dared to look into his eyes again, a blush forming on my cheeks as I did so.

"You don't have to be embarrassed over something you love. Or even a little quirk that makes you,"He paused, searching for the right words. "Well, you. You shouldn't have been ashamed to like reading those books because they're quite meaningful, and you should never apologize for speaking your mind. Because that is a very rare and attractive quality few have." Mr. McCarthy was smiling at me, and his eyes expressed that his statement was true and strong.

I gained some confidence from his heartfelt advice.

"Wow, um, thank you Mr. McCarthy. That really means a lot", My smile growing as I laughed, but not out of nerves this time. A real laugh. Like a carefree type of laugh.

"No problem, Sky", His smile now beaming at the sight of my newfound cheery spirit, "Don't tell the others this but you may or may not be my favorite."

I was shocked at his confession. I wasn't the smartest. I didn't contribute much to the class. I occasionally argued with Ash, like this morning. And I was always grumpy in the morning, how could I have been his favorite student? I'm not complaining though. Who would complain when their model of a teacher admitted something like that?

McCarthy continued to speak as he saw I was shocked, "Now, don't go around sharing my secret though", He chuckled softly and I began to smile again. "But, since you are a very talented student of mine, Sky, I'd like it if you could meet me in my office for lunch to discuss your latest assignment." Concern taking over his impeccable features.

"Oh, uh, did I do something wrong?" I swear if I'm failing his class then this just became very awkward.

"No, absolutely not. You still have one of the highest scores in class. I'd just like to discuss your last project with you. When is your lunch period?"

"Right after my next class. Which is...", I turned my phone on to check the time, alarmed when I saw my class was starting now, eleven thirty, "Oh no. Now actually. I'm gonna be late. I'm so dead." I began to rush towards my building, panicking because my chem teacher is a merciless Medusa.
