Holy shitballs.
What year is it?
Why does my head hurt like a bitch?
I take in my surroundings, proving my suspicions correct.
Oh, great. I'm in the nurse's office. I was laying down on one of the little cot's in a secluded room.
Why the hell does the oxygen I'm inhaling smell like Chanel cologne?
Don't ask how I know what the chanel cologne smells like.
During the weekends, Ash and I used to go to The Grove (our nearest mall) and pick our favorite cologne and perfume.
Pathetic, I know.
But Ash never bought the new Chanel cologne.
So who was in the nurse's with me?
I pushed myself up, putting my weight on my hands as I elevated.
"Ow." I groaned, dragging a hand up to my aching head. "Why is it so bright in here?" I mumbled, screwing my eyes shut due to the illuminated white room.
"Would you rather me turn the lights off?"
"What the fu-" I jumped in surprise and almost shrieked a colorful statement when I heard a voice to my left. "Oh, it's just you", I relaxed.
He laughed. "Sorry about that. But would you rather prefer someone else in here?" His left brow rose in question with a growing smirk on his face.
God, he was devilishly suave.
"Uh, no. I mean yes. Wait what?" I still had agonizing pain in my head. I was also still confused. Once again, what year is it?
"I'm confused", I started. "What happened?"
"You fell."
"Oh."
"Well more like you fainted."
"Oh." I said calmly again.
"Do you need anything? Advil, maybe?"
"No, I'm fine." I lied. "I need to go."
I began to lift myself off of the bed when he stood up blocking my path.
"Sky, you're honestly not okay. Now sit down while I get the nurse. Don't make me use my teacher voice", Mr. Hotstuff persisted.
The fact that he managed to make me smile at his teasing just confirmed my thoughts.
It was already awkward enough that he's hot!
And then I had to go and be a damsel in distress!
Now my feelings might be involved. And I don't do feelings.
My head did hurt really bad. Probably just a raging migraine. I agreed to sit back down.
"Ok, now don't run away, okay?" He chuckled as he wrapped his hand around the door knob, twisting, "I'll be right back with the nurse."
The door shut.
Oh. My. God.
I know I joked about Mr. Hotstuff and all but I can't seriously like him, can I?
No. What about Liam?
"What about Liam?" I thought.
No!
You like Liam. You moron.
Great now I'm arguing with myself.
The door opened with not just the Nurse, and Mr. Hotstuff. But Liam rushed in after them shoving Hotstuff to the side lightly. Mr. Hotstuff made a face at that. I giggled a bit. It's kinda funny how they don't get along. And I like them both. How cliche. Cringe!
Anyways, Liam rushed up to my sitting figure on the cot, engulfing me in an enormous hug.
"Sky, are you alright? I was so worried. I called Ash and he said that this has happened to you before." Liam pulled out of the hug stroking my hair, then holding my jaw to examine my face to see if I was hurt, "Are you alright?"
Gotta admit, I love the attention. Being this close to Liam just fogged up my head so much more, that I couldn't conjure up a coherent sentence, so I just sat there staring at him like a sitting duck.
"Is she okay?" Liam turned around asking the nurse.
"Let me check her vitals. You boys can go wait outside the room, give her some air." The cute old nurse ushered Liam and McCarthy out, both of them sending me worried looks over their shoulder.
Once the nurse shut the door she got to work checking up on my vitals and all that doctorly stuff, ya know?
"Well, Honey. Good news and bad news. Which would you like to hear first?"
It's been a long eventful day, I could go for some good news.
"Good."
"Ok, well you seem to be perfectly fine. Most likely you fainted due to exhaustion or dehydration. Just make sure to take care of yourself sweetie." She gave me a motherly smile that warmed my heart.
"So, what's the bad news...?" I asked, really not wanting to hear whatever it was.
"The bad news is that you've got two full grown men sitting outside this room who both care about you and will be fighting for you."
"Oh", was all I could let out as reality hit me.
They both liked me?
Maybe I'm not that ugly?
Oh, Ash is gonna enjoy this one.
