I hate my life.

My stupid, ringing phone woke me up from an amazing, vivid dream about Zac Efron.

The only happiness I get in college comes from my dreams.

Reality, folks.

I pressed the green button, my eyes still adjusting to the bright screen.

"What do you want, Mom?"

"Well, good morning to you too, Honey. I was going to ask how your day was but I'm getting the feeling I already know. Was it Mr. Hotstuff's class again?"

My mom learned her sarcasm from the best, moi.

I taught her the nickname we call McCarthy, Mr. Hotstuff. And she knows how stressful his class is so early in the morning.

"What time is it anyways?", I yawned, as I stretched out of my bed.

"Eleven."

"Shit!"

I didn't mean to be asleep for more than fifteen minutes. I completely forgot I had another class today. My lab partner who lives in an apartment nearby, recently began giving me a ride to class because we can barely stand anyone else in our class.

"Watch your language, young lady." My mother scolded me, sternly.

"Not exactly young anymore, Mom. College is taking years off me. Gotta run. Love ya." I hung up, quickly rushing to get dressed and look decent.

Oh, did I forget to mention that Liam's my lab partner?

Yeah, I try not to freak out about it too much either.

I haven't told Alex that Liam's been giving me a ride lately, because I know he would give me crap for it. More crap than he usually serves me.

"Sky, are you awake yet? Your rides picking you up soon", Alex called throughout the apartment.

I changed into a baseball tee and ripped skinny jeans, tossing my hair into a ponytail. I walked back into the kitchen, packing my bag up. While I was searching for my laptop charger, Alex chimed in. Of course.

I love my best friend, don't get me wrong.

But he always has to say what's on his mind.

I like to think put up, or shut up.

Alex certainly doesn't have that state of mind.

"Who's the mystery person giving you rides to class lately?", Alex questioned, intrigued.

"Just a girl in my AP Chem class." I tried to answer, as nonchalantly as possible.

"Mmhmm, I'll figure it out, eventually."

"I don't have time for this. How do I look?"

I made a mistake asking that.

Alex is smart when it comes to boys.

"Oh, so it is a boy. I see. Any boy in particular?", Alex was now extremely interested.

"Yes, now advice?"

"Take the ponytail out, and stick a piece of gum in your mouth", Alex stated as he shoved a piece of neon green gum in my mouth.

"Oof, okay then", I took my ponytail out and ruffled my hair, looking in our hallway mirror fixing my hair and adding mascara.

"Damn girl, this boy has you putting on mascara. I wanna know the details." Alex was in full blown giddy mode.

"I'll tell you about him, but I won't tell you who he is."
