It was almost an hour of silence in the household, before Toriel walked in to Asriel's room, carrying a sleeping Chara in her arms.

Asriel smiled hopefully, seeing as the red liquid was gone, though, Asriel's white fur had been matted with the crimson fluid, now dried onto his pelt.
Toriel looked to Asriel,
"Asriel, dear. Would you mind terribly if your new friend slept on your bed tonight? They need a place to sleep, so they can get better." Toriel requested.

To Asriel, it was a simple answer,
"Of course!" He smiled, as Toriel returned the smile with a warm grin, and walked inside, laying Chara on the bed.

Asriel looked to Toriel,
"Are they going to be okay?" He asked curiously.

Toriel kneeled down,
"Yes, I believe so, but you must not bother them. We don't know who they are, where they came from, or how they were raised. When they wake up, please let me know. However, they shouldn't wake up tonight. Also, please don't touch them. They are very hurt, and need their rest, dear." His mother had smiled, though, she looked a bit uneasy.

Chara was a worrying child for Toriel. While she had looked for things to clean Chara's wounds, she realized that they had been carrying a blade. A sharp, bloodstained one.
Toriel didn't know Chara, but was scared to consider what they might have done to Asriel, should they not had fallen unconscious from blood loss.

Asriel grinned,
"Okay! We can make sure they get better, then take them home!" He said enthusiastically.

Toriel sighed,
"Perhaps. Now go get washed and get ready for bed. It's getting late." She glanced off.
Toriel had never gotten around to explaining the actual purpose of the barrier,
To keep everyone in.
Though Chara had fallen in, the child couldn't get out.

Asriel nodded, and grabbed a pair of button up pajamas and soft cloth pants, before rushing to the bathroom to shower, wanting to get done as quickly as possible.
Surely, this day was a great one. A new friend, and it's a human!
What a night!

Toriel watched her son go, before glancing to Chara.
She didn't know whether she should fear or pity this child. There was no way to know what would have happened in their past life to get them in such a condition.
And, goodness, the monsters had nothing they needed to take care of a human. A human child needed.. a lot.
A lot that the monsters didn't have.

Toriel left the room without another word, going to the dining room and pacing anxiously.
She wasn't so relieved that her husband would be at work for a good while,
Asgore would know how to deal with this.

It took about twenty minutes for Asriel to finish showering. He had a lot of fur to wash, after all! It took even longer to get the dried, red liquid out of his pristine pelt.

Afterward, Asriel stepped out of the shower, turning the water off, and dried off, before getting dressed into his white and green striped sleepwear.
Asriel re-brushed his ear, cheek, and head fur, before leaving the bathroom completely, hanging up the towel and carrying his bloodstained clothes into his room to put in the hamper.

Asriel stepped into the room, and put his clothes into the hamper.

He took a moment to kneel by his bed and look at the child laying on it.
They were clean, now. The red liquid they were leaking was gone. It seems his mother put a folded paper towel on their forehead, taped on. The makeshift bandage seemed to work.

They also had a bag of ice on their ankles, and they had their feet wrapped in some sort of soft cloth.

Without all the bitter liquid, Asriel decided the human wasn't as weird as he thought after all. The pink color in Chara was gone, replaced with a sickly pale. They seemed to be sleeping peacefully.
