Danny woke up to Jazz pounding on his door the next morning. Slowly he peeled the covers off his still sore body and shuffled over to the door. Jazz was waiting on the other side with a paper in her hands.
"Something you want to tell me?" she questioned as she lifted the paper so Danny could see the front page. On it was an old picture of him from Amity Park flying with his ghost tail and a header that read "Ghost Boy Comes To Jump City".
"Umm... yeah... well you see..." Danny was now getting nervous because he hadn't told Jazz about the nightmares and the memories returning. She would flip out if he told her so he came up with a lie. "Jazz, I have to help people. You know that. It kills me to know I can help and I'm not!"
"I know Danny but this town already has heroes, that's why we came here. You can just be Danny Fenton and not have to worry about people being hurt." Jazz reasoned.
"I know. I'm sorry I just had to help last night. I won't do it again."
"Okay little brother, go get dressed I want to go out and see the town." A smile passed over Jazz's face as she turned away from Danny and walked out to the living room. As soon as she was gone Danny shut his door and pulled out his usually attire, a white shirt with a red oval and red lined sleeves with jeans.
After getting ready for the day Danny went out to the small living area and kitchen and grabbed an apple.
"Actually I was hoping I could go see something for myself if that's okay with you." Danny said a bit of happiness had appeared in his eyes. Jazz simply nodded as a smile spread across her face. With her approval Danny ran out of the apartment and down the street. After a couple of blocks Danny turned down an old alleyway and got out of sight from other people.
The white coldness washed over Danny making him, ironically, feel alive. He turned invisible and flew upwards. No matter how many times Jazz got mad at him, Danny had to help people it's who he is. So he flew around town for a few hours until a loud explosion went off right below him.
Still invisible Danny soared down to see what was going on. Walking down the street was a tall thin man wearing a black jumpsuit with a large lightbulb shaped logo in the middle of it. He was laughing as he rode threw what looked to be balls of light at civilians and businesses.
Dropping his invisibility Danny landed a few feet in front of the strange villain. "So, what's your name? Mr. Lightbulb?" Danny quipped as he charged his hands with ecto energy.
"Doctor Light actually." the villain responded as he threw a golden light sphere right at Danny. The blast hit square in the chest and knocked Danny back several feet. Just before he could retaliate though five figures landed in between Danny and Dr. Light and began fighting with the villain.
Minutes later the five teens had defeated Dr. Light and stood over him, making sure he didn't try and escape before the police arrived. Danny still stood shocked in the middle of the street. He had never met another hero before let alone five of them! One of the young heroes noticed Danny standing in the street though and brought this to the attention of the one who seemed to be the leader.
"That's the boy I was telling you about!" Robin said. That comment brought Danny back to reality and snapped him out of his star struck moment. Crouching low Danny prepared to fly off when Starfire flew up to him.
"Hello! I am Starfire. Who are you?" she said in her kind voice she only used for her friends.
"No one!" Danny said slightly panicked. He couldn't tell them who he really was or else Jack and Maddie might find him.
"You do not look like the no one."
"He means he won't tell us his name Star." Robin spoke up as he approached the ghost boy. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" he questioned Danny as the white in his mask seemed to squint slightly.
"If you really want to know, I want to help people like you. As for who I am that is kinda top secret."
"Well, what are you? Alien? Meta-human?" Cyborg jumped in his curiosity getting the better of him.
"Ghost. I'm half ghost okay? Bye now!" suddenly Danny took off in to the blue sky and disappeared behind a big cloud. With his curiosity at its peak Robin turned in a huff and began back to the Titan's Tower.
-----------------------------------
Now back at the tower Robin went straight to the evidence room and began searching everything he could on ghosts. Hours passed as Robin sat at the computer in near darkness finding nothing useful, other than a few articles from a small town in Illinois. Looking at the small clock next to the screen Robin saw he had been researching for four hours and decided to go get some rest.
When he left the evidence room and entered the living room though he stopped dead in his tracks. His team had called a team meeting without him and were currently discussing the child they met today. Eavesdropping for a second before making his presence known he over heard his team talking about weather they believe the ghost teen was a good guy or not and weather they should ask him to join the team.
Robin cleared his throat and got the attention of the other four teens sitting on the couch. "What's up guys." was all he said as he shot them a glare.
"Um.. we... uuh..." Starfire, Raven, and Cyborg all stuttered.
"We are talking about the ghost boy we met today! We think he should join the team!" an over excited Beast Boy shouted out over the others. They all sent him death stares as he realized what he just did. He shrugged his shoulders and grinned guiltily.
Robin nodded his head and jumped over the back of the couch and sat down. "Maybe but we need to know more about him first. I'm not just gonna invite some random person to join our team without even knowing what they can do."
"Robin has a point. We need more information" Raven backed Robin.
"Thanks Raven. Anyways, I had the same thought as you guys and that is why I have been researching for the last few hours. I think I know where this kid is from."
"Where?" all four teens shout in unison.
"I think he's from..." Robin was cut off by a large crash down stairs and the entire tower shaking underneath them. "TITANS... GO!" Robin shouted once the shaking had stopped.
A/N: Okay so it's been a while. Sorry 'bout that I've been really busy with volleyball stuff and haven't been able to work on the story lately. Make sure to vote and comment your thoughts. Should the Titans ask Danny to join them? What just happened downstairs? WHAT THE HECK AM I GONNA DO IN THE NEXT CHAPTER? hehe you have to wait and find out. *evilly smirks and backs in to a dark corner* Bye!
