Pierce sat in a dazed state, sprawled back onto the floor," So you're a fairy."

I stood awkwardly next to him,"Not a fairy. A Fae-in-training."

There was a long and painful silence between us, until Pierce tilted his head up at me,"Could you do that thing where you make your eyes purple again?"

I let out a small breath of exasperation and delivered a swift kick to his leg," That's not the point!"

His face has morphed into a sarcastic pout, rubbing his calf in pain,"I'm having a really hard time finding any other important point from what you told me other than the fact you have alien magic powers."

"I'm not an alien- I'm from another dimension you fucktard," This was not how I had planned the conversation in my head," I'm on a mission assigned to me by a corrupt, magical government- who also has my mother held hostage. Oh, and another thing- I'm a descendant of the Grimm brothers and fairytales are real. What part of the severity of this situation do you not understand?" I took a gasp of air, waiting for his response.

"I know you might not have spent a lot of time on earth- but you should know ," Pierce sat up, his dark eyebrows arched with sarcasm,"the universe is in grave danger because of the human race. Not the other way around!"

I started pacing my living room angrily," Do you  realize that I could crush your fragile human skull with just one flick of my wand?" I whipped my wand in front of his eyes.

Pierce flinched, staring cross-eyed at the end of my wand, which was currently hovering a mere inch away from his nose,"What's that thing made of? Plastic?"

"Try goblin bone activated with the power of Fae enchantments and charms," I straightened out my back, I did have the authority in the situation. I was the one with lethal weapon at my fingertips at the moment.

"But here's the problem," I pointed my wand at the direction of an innocent ceramic vase," when I use a destruction charm on a vase- this is what happens."

With a flick of my wand the vase sailed back at the opposing wall of the living room, shattering against the wall.

I pointed the wand at fierce, smirking at the renewed fear in his brown eyes," But with you, this happens."

I muttered the incantation once more, and waved my wand.

The bolt of power sent in his direction rolled off of his body, sending ripples through the air as the spell lashed back and slammed my body back against the wall behind me.

Laying in pain on the hardwood floors of my home, I locked eyes with him in horror," What are you?"

And for once since the beginning of our rendezvous, he didn't have a clever response.
