The next day, the girls came over to comfort me. I'd laid in bed all day, sobbing and reading depressing quotes. I scrolled through the old pictures of Aidan and I, but it was too much for me. They made me hurt even more.
"Charlotte, you are better than him. Don't mope around. Empower yourself and get out there." Riley advised.
"I couldn't possibly move on this fast, Riley." I shook my head. I wiped my eyes with my tissue.
"He's a piece of shit. We're going to get him, Char. Don't even worry." Havoc said.
"He doesn't know what he's done. He must've forgotten who we are." Spencer agreed. I was so thankful for them.
"Randy is having a party tonight. I think we should go. You need to get out the house. I know you stayed in bed all day." Riley said.
"Yeah, I have. My mom tried talking to me, but I didn't want to tell her about it." I sat up.
"Go on and shower and stuff. We'll find you something cute to wear." Spencer said.
I reluctantly dragged myself out of bed and into the bathroom. I could hear the girls debating over my clothes. Bless their hearts for trying to find me the cutest outfit. All my outfits were amazing.
I looked at myself in the mirror and grimaced. I looked disgusting without makeup. This was the me that Aidan fell in love with.
Come on, Charlotte. Go out and have some fun. Drink a little bit and forget all about Aidan. He surely has forgotten you. I told myself.
I applied some makeup, nothing heavy. I had no motivation to do anything. Dark thoughts overtook my mind.
I plastered on a normal face and stepped out the bathroom. The girls had picked out a short, black skirt and a pink, strapless tube top. They paired that with fishnet leggings and high heel black boots.
"Girls, I'll freeze in that. It's February." I laughed.
"I told you to let her wear the sweater!" Riley threw her hands in the air.
"I'll wear the sweater you picked with the rest of the outfit." I compromised.
Riley handed me my black V-neck sweater. It was cut pretty low and I went to get a tank top for it, but she stopped me.
"Flaunt tonight." She said.
I looked striking in black. The girls did a good job with my outfit. I noticed they all had on something of mine, too. We were definitely ready to party.
"Mom! We're going to Randy's party!" I yelled from outside her door. I didn't want her to see my outfit. She would kill me.
"Okay, have fun! Be back at a reasonable time!" she replied. I heard my father's snores and I was thankful he was asleep or he would've given me a curfew. My mom didn't really care.
"Tell your parents that you're sleeping at my house so we can stay as late as we want." I told the girls. They all started texting their parents.
"Spencer, you can drive." I handed her my keys. I trusted these girls with everything.
"And you'll probably have to drive back." Havoc joked. She was right, though. I didn't have an appetite for alcohol, but who's to say what will happen when I got there.
We played our music obnoxiously loud with all the windows down. My music was quite explicit, but I didn't care about a lot of things anymore.
When we arrived, the party was already raging. It was only about 8 PM. The night was still young.
